Position Summary:

Controlled Air Inc. is actively seeking a Building Automation Programmer/Technician with specialized proficiency in Johnson Controls (new and legacy controls) and ABB Cylon Products. As a pivotal member of our team, the system technician will collaborate closely with the controls team to develop cutting-edge HVAC/BAS solutions, incorporating intricate control logic and advanced energy trending. Job Functions:

  • Work closely with our BAS control engineer to tailor a BMS solution that align perfectly within the customer's or engineer's requirements, ensuring we exceed customer expectations.

  • Strategically work on projects to maintain a consistent workflow and complete the job on time and on or under budget.

  • Must be able to understand a sequence of operations. Then be able to write detailed programming logic with optimal performance and highest efficiency in our industry.

  • Demonstrate the ability to understand and construct logic for energy projects, including Microgrids, Cogens and solutions involving H2 and Battery technologies.

  • Able to Integrate multiple BAS products, IOT and MQTT and TCOM.

  • Provide support to our junior control technicians and collaborate effectively with the controls service team as needed.

  • Participate in an on-call rotation as an integral part of the job requirements.

Supervisory Responsibility:

  • Working with Jr control technicians to become programmers and Sr control technicians.

  • Maintain proficiency in all current lines of controls and field devices, demonstrating a strong commitment to success.

  • Possess knowledge of control strategies and scheduling work.

  • Exhibit proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Job Qualifications:

  • Degree in HVAC Technology or equivalent practical experience or professional license.

  • 5 years of Building Automation experience in HVAC industry or related field.

  • In-depth knowledge of HVAC Building Automation, HVAC Installation and HVAC Service/Maintenance practices.

  • This position is full time and based in Branford, CT.
