BAC Job Description

Works collaboratively with the District Assessment Coordinator to coordinate and

facilitate the implementation of the state-required assessment and accountability programs and district assessments. Attends district sponsored assessment and accountability meetings.

Organizes and supports the administration of assessments related to College and Career Readiness (i.e., KYOTE, TRACK, CTE EOP) at the High School level. Holds meetings with school principals and/or teachers to disseminate information from assessment meetings. Communicates to appropriate principal and school staff assessment definitions, timelines, and procedures as necessary for compiling data and other information.

Meets district and state assessment timelines.

  • Assists principal, teachers, and parents with questions, problems, or concerns regarding

the assessment process.

  • Facilitates the implementation of all assessment and accountability activities throughout

the school. Receives, inventories and keeps secure all testing materials related to multiple assessments, which include, but are not limited to, test tickets, seal codes, test booklets, student response booklets, reference sheets, administration manuals.

Prepares accountability rosters for each testing window for submission to the District Assessment Coordinator and the Office of Assessment and Accountability. Assists in obtaining materials needed for assessments (i.e., calculators, rulers, accommodated materials, computer workstations, etc.).

Schedules and implements 504s in collaboration with the counseling department.

Creates schedules for each state test in collaboration with the District Assessment

Coordinator (DAC) and building principal. Schedules makeup tests as needed.

Ensures that seating charts for each class are created, collected and given to the DAC to be retained for the district at the end of each assessment. Monitors the administration and security of all state-required assessments at the school level. Collects information and reports any breaches in test security and/or other testing

allegations at the school level. Staff Development

Conducts training on the Administration Code for Kentucky's Educational Assessment Programs (703 KAR 5:080) the Inclusion of Special Populations in the State-Required Assessment and Accountability Programs (703 KAR 5:070) and Confidentiality training for all test administrators prior to test administration. Keeps on file at the school a dated agenda and a participant's sign-in sheet of all trainings.

Submits a copy to the District Assessment Coordinator. Ensures that all special education staff have attended training sessions about the Administration Code and Inclusions document regarding accommodations. Ensures that staff have been trained on the administration of individual assessments, including Test Administration Manuals (TAMs). Ensures that each individual involved with testing at the school level has read and signed the Administration Code document and the Appropriate Practices Form. Collects these

forms and maintains records at school.

  • Plans and arranges training sessions for school personnel, parent and/or community

volunteers who will serve as scribes and readers during the assessment window.

Ensures all students are tested as required by the Kentucky Department of Education.

  • Completes, signs, and files medical exemption, medical emergency and allegation

paperwork with the District Assessment Coordinator.

  • Provides staff development for principal, teachers and parents concerning assessment

processes and the understanding, interpreting, and use of assessment results.

Data Review

  • Review student rosters in SDRR.

O Review all student records for each grade. Add/delete students to/from the roster.

O Determine student accountability. O Request non-participations (i.e. medical). o Download, print and save the student rosters.

o Update student data in Infinite Campus (IC).

  • Complete data cleanup as scheduled throughout the year.

Work with the Director of Pupil Personnel to ensure that information is accurate in the student information system, Infinite Campus. Submit testing frequency violations and other irregularities to the DAC.

This position is for the 2024-2025 school year.

Salary based on board approved salary schedule for the 2024-2025 school year.
