Building And Grounds Maintenance

Shift: 1st Shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facility buildings, offices, building systems (plumbing, HVAC, electrical, etc.), grounds, sidewalks, and parking areas

• Install, maintain, and repair piping systems, including compressed air, water, gas, and sewer lines

• Maintain and repair overhead doors, building entrances/exits, lighting, and security systems

• Assist with the relocation of equipment, machinery, and production lines, including running new utility lines

• Coordinate with and manage work for external contractors for larger projects

• Utilize a work order system to track progress, issue parts, and maintain documentation

• Order parts, supplies, and materials for maintenance/repair projects

• Assist carpenters in building/repairing storage racks, carts, guards, and other items

• Perform cleaning duties, including removing trash/debris, cleaning dumpster areas, and blowing parking lots

• Create and maintain a safe working environment, reporting any issues immediately

• Perform winter weather duties such as snow/ice removal

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of facilities maintenance experience, preferably in an industrial/manufacturing setting

• Hands-on experience with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry work

• Knowledge of building systems, utility lines, and code requirements

• Skilled in using hand/power tools for repairs (saws, drills, wrenches, etc.)

• Forklift, scissor lift, and boom lift certifications preferred

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

• Basic computer skills for work orders and requisitions

• Able to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly, work at heights, be on feet for extended periods

• Strong attention to safety policies and procedures

• Reliable flexibility to work overtime/weekends as needed
