Job Summary: The Building and Equipment Maintenance Technician, or Maintenance Mechanic, will be responsible performing ongoing building and equipment maintenance and completing repairs on equipment and building related task. Duties include fixing machinery, plumbing, heating, wiring, and some welding. Will also be required to report any safety concerns to supervisor by inspecting building to confirm safety standards and scheduling major repairs with the building's inhabitants.
Pay Rate: $26.00-$30.00/hr.
Days: 6:00am to 3:30 pm with ½ lunch Monday - Friday
-Responsibilities:
Performing routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage, for example, window, door or wall repair, replacing HVAC & Machine Filters.
Repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures, Also Knowledge of soldering copper pipe for air lines and water lines.
Have knowledge of electrical wiring/schematics to repair equipment and building due to wear or failure or damage.
Maintaining the building HVAC equipment to keep climate control in the facility functioning properly.
Have complete understanding of hand tools, Torque wrenches, Impacts, Drills, Drill presses, and Oxyacetylene torches.
Applying preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems.
Touching-up Paint within the building, repairing sheetrock and keeping the building looking presentable to Customers and Employee's.
Troubleshoot and repair all standard electrical components and detect minor equipment problems and correct them before they become major issues.
Experience with Hydraulic systems and Hydraulic Schematics. Be able to Diagnose issues within the Hydraulic system using machine specific schematics.
Welding experience with GTAW, FCAW, & GMAW. Must be able to pass visual weld test in interview. AWS Certification is preferred but not required.
Install new equipment and understand technical manuals, read blueprints and how to purchase replacement parts necessary to make equipment repairs.
Overhead crane operation and repair is preferred but not necessary.
Experience with Forklift operation and repair is preferred but not necessary.
Understand basic Inventory and know when to request parts and supplies to maintain inventory.
Dress/Equipment Needed: Safety equipment is provided, must wear at all times. Must have clean work clothes & steel toe boots. Must own Weld equipment.
