The Financial Security Ecosystem is a best practice model, where financial security is first baked into partners services and programming to create financial security at scale, as well as accelerate their impact. Where front line staff surface issues, the ecosystem includes Financial Coaches and personal finance attorneys who assume responsibility for customers problems, and whose internal support boosts the skills and confidence of the front line staff.


The Clinic is seeking an agile and experienced Budget Supervisor to join its finance and accounting team. Reporting to the Chief of Staff, the Budget Supervisor will oversee budget development, evaluate cost efficiencies, monitor variances, and streamline finance and accounting processes around accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, and the general ledger.


  • Develop and monitor the FY19 budget for the organization
  • Develop and monitor departmental and project level budgets
  • Analyze budget variances on agency, departmental, and project-wide levels
  • Oversee invoicing and revenue collection process
  • Monitor applicable restricted donations
  • Prepare and present financial reports for executive staff
  • Collaborate on special projects as needed with senior level staff within the organization


  • 5 plus years of experience in Accounting /Finance, ideally with a nonprofit organization
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance, Masters in Accounting highly preferred
  • Strong technical skills with advanced knowledge of Accounting systems, Salesforce, and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
