Job Summary
This position will provide temporary support to the Director, Budget and Financial Planning by performing a range of administrative tasks related to the Budget Office operations. The Budget Office Assistant will work in a fast-paced environment with priorities that change often. This position will assist the Director with gathering data, conducting research, analyzing data and reporting findings on various financial items.
This is a part-time limited term position; end date to be determined.
Duties and Responsibilities
Complete project as assigned including, but not limited to:
Data input and analysis of payroll data
Reconcile utility payments to state general ledger and research discrepancies
Create and upload journal entries using the College's financial software packages
Review ad submit budget transfers for review and approval by the Director
Process miscellaneous invoices for payment
Minimum Requirements
Associates or Higher Degree preferred; High School diploma required.
Minimum of two years' experience in an office environment, with emphasis on financial tasks.
Experience in a governmental entity preferred.
Experience managing departmental budgets.
Moderate knowledge of Microsoft products, primarily Excel.
Basic accounting knowledge, to include developing and posting journal entries.
