Repsol has an opportunity for a Budget & Financial Analyst to support the Performance Management team within our Eagle Ford Business Unit. This position is based out of our US headquarters in The Woodlands, Texas, and reports to the to the Planning & Resources Manager.

Summary

The Budget & Financial Analyst (internal title "Performance Management Analyst") will prepare and coordinate planning and performance management processes and reports, ensuring consistency with the annual budget and strategic objectives defined for the Business Unit.

Our ideal candidate will have a sharp understanding of Performance Management activities for the Oil & Gas industry, with at least 4 years of post-grad experience in this discipline; including budgeting, forecasting, project financials, . Responsibilities & Duties

  • Coordinate with other team members, and all other departments involved, the preparation of data for economics analysis and processes within his/her scope (i.e., Annual budget, project evaluation, Long Range Plan, Ceiling Test, Year End Reserves).

  • Follow up Budget execution key metrics to analyze and provide tools for early decision making.

  • Interface with different stakeholders (i.e., planning, and commercial excellence centers, operations, development, etc.) to ensure workflow and data preparation is aligned with Business plans.

  • Participate and support Ex-post processes for Projects execution.

  • Prepare reports and presentations related to business processes, as well as ad-hoc studies, and collaborate in preparing information periodically (annual report, quarterly Q&A, etc.).

  • Review and maintain databases for key processes under his/her scope.

Required Qualifications

  • Fully authorized to work in the US for any employer without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • 4+ years of performance management or project planning experience, preferably in the oil & gas industry - including budgeting, cost evaluation, long range planning, ceiling tests, and calculating year end reserves.

  • Candidates must be able to discuss and demonstrate their experience in all critical technical competencies and must successfully pass a technical assessment on financial analysis as part of the screening process.

  • Detail-oriented, well-organized and self-motivated with the ability to complete tasks efficiently and in a timely manner.

  • Strong competency in Microsoft Excel, PBI and PowerPoint and ability to learn new systems.

  • Fluent English speaker

  • Availability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.

  • Strong interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage effectively in a client-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Spanish knowledge is a plus.

Location & Schedule

  • Position is based out of our US headquarters in The Woodlands, Texas. Candidates should be able to reasonably commute to the office as required. Position does not include relocation or mileage reimbursement.

  • Position may be eligible for hybrid and compressed work schedule (9/80); however, eligibility and specific schedule are at the supervising manager's discretion, based on business needs.
