Position SummaryAdminister departmental budgets, grants, and designated funds for the Department of Music and Performing Arts Professions. Conduct trends' analyses and prepare forecasts; provide advice on University and School fiscal guidelines and requirements; assess accounts' status and recommend funds' reallocations; prepare annual and interim budget reports.
Communicate and interpret policies on requirements for employing and paying full-time and adjunct faculty; analyze payment delays and discrepancies. Supervise staff. Qualifications Required Education:Bachelor's degree Preferred Education:NA Required Experience:3 years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must include training and/or education in accounting, finance, or business and experience with budget administration. Preferred Experience:Accounting and/or finance experience within a university or large non-profit organization. Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
Ability to interact effectively with a diverse population at all levels in a fast-paced office within a complex organization. Ability to supervise staff. Proficiency with spreadsheet applications and strong knowledge of database applications and data management.
