This position serves as a Budget Analyst located in the Bureau of Land Management Idaho State Office. The purpose of the position is to perform a full range of analytical, technical and administrative durties related to formulating, executing and monitoring a Federal budget. Develops, reviews, and edist detailed analyses, estimates, proposals, and justifications for annual funding needs for all current and out year activities. Formulates broad financial plans and policies for a variety of large and complex programs managed over multiple organizational levels.
Occasional travel - Travel may be required to attend trainings, conferences, workshops, and/or field visits.

Physical Demands: The work is prinicipally sedentary with a moderate amount of standing and walking.
Work Environment: Work is typically performed in an adequately lighted and climate controlled office. Occasional travel may be required. The incumbent will adhere to all safety rules and regulations as aprescribed in manauls and supplements or designated by the Safety Officer.

In order to be rated as qualified for this position, we must be able to determine that you meet the specialized experience requirement - please be sure to include this information in your resume. To be creditable, this experience must have been equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade of the position to be filled.
For GS-12: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level GS-11 in the federal service. Specialized experience at this level is defined as having administrative duties related to formulating, executing and monitoring a Federal budget.
There is no substitution of education for experience at the GS-12 and above grade levels.
You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade requirement in accordance with 5 CFR 300.604. If you are a current Federal employee in the General Schedule (GS) pay plan and applying for a promotion opportunity, you must have completed a minimum of 52 weeks at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled.
