Budget & Administrative Coordinator II

Budget and Administrative Coordinator for Department of Environmental Health Sciences will work in partnership with the chair, faculty, and staff to manage financial and administrative activities of the Department.

• Serve as the business/financial management officer for the department.

• Coordinate department facilities oversight.

• Demonstrated ability to develop and analyze budgets, develop budget projections, and conduct account reconciliations.

• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

• Demonstrated ability to pro-actively work independently and focus/complete a given assignment.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Bachelor's Degree.

• Previous administrative management experience required, preferably in an academic setting.

• Ability to develop and implement department operational procedures. Ability to work well with diverse groups from various cultural backgrounds.

• Experience with Tulane University's accounting, administration and student academic systems.

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.

• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and competently manage a variety of activities with multiple deadlines; motivation and willingness to take initiative and full responsibility for selected activities; proven ability with budget management and accountability.

• Demonstrated track record of working with the highest level of professionalism, tact, and diplomacy.
