Corporate Functions Business Technology at Pfizer has ambitious goals of providing world class technical solutions supporting best in class enterprise capabilities that are used by thousands of colleagues globally every day. Toward that end, the Corporate Functions Business Technology Solution Center is building on it's foundation of strong technical resources and currently looking to fill an open position Software Developer. The Software Developer is responsible for the technical build of solutions for our customer base.

  • Design and develop solutions supporting critical business activities such as payroll, learning, support and corporate functions.

  • Build web based solutions according to technical design specifications.

  • Design, configure and implement software systems.

  • Represent the Corporate Functions Solution Center with business clients, business partners, and senior management.

  • Follow defined coding standards while looking to continuously improve those standards.

  • Write unit tests for new and existing code.

  • Design and build modular components to promote reuse.

  • Successfully work in an agile development organization with quick turn around and freedom to be extremely creative.

  • Must have experience in gathering requirements and good communication skills. Will conceptualize, design, build, and deploy small projects, plus contribute in multiple facets to larger team projects.

  • Application development experience or equivalent projects

  • Ensure that shared services are utilized, development standards are being adhered to and best practices are followed.

  • Generation of appropriate documentation: project plans, requirements and design documents, use cases, storyboards

  • Stay informed on emerging trends in technology which support Corporate Functions


  • 2+ years professional technology experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or like discipline

  • Passion and desire to develop technical skills and become a subject matter expert in technical design within the solution center

  • Balance multiple projects while being a self-starter

  • Experience operating in a large scale enterprise

  • Proficient in MS Office

  • 1 year experience relational database such as MS SQL Server

  • 1 year experience in scripting or Object Oriented Languages such as C#/VB.NET/Python


  • Mobile development experience

  • Graphics editing Photoshop, Illustrator etc.

  • SQL Scripting

  • Java Script and CSS

  • PMI certification

This position is slated to start June 3, 2019 The FIS 2019 Associate Development Program: As a 2019 Associate Development Program participant with FIS, you will benefit from an on the job training program. As a program participant you will have the opportunity to be mentored and participate in team projects, social events, community service activities work, and professional development seminars. The first six months is in Little Rock, Arkansas and includes programming, financial application and personal development training. After the first six months, you will continue with on-the-job training. The position provides full mentoring and full pay during the training period.
