Corporate Risk helps all Wells Fargo businesses identify and manage risk. The team focuses on several key risk types, including conduct, credit, financial crimes, information security, interest rate, liquidity, market, model, operational, regulatory compliance, reputation, strategic, and technology risk. The group provides leadership, enhances communications, assists with problem identification and solutions, and shares best practices. In addition, the group provides an enterprise-wide view of risk, assists management and our Board of Directors in identifying and monitoring risks that may affect multiple lines of business, and takes appropriate action when business activities exceed the risk tolerance of the company.
Risk management at Wells Fargo is organized with clearly defined lines of defense to provide effective risk oversight and decision-making across the organization. Each line of defense is assigned specific responsibilities and understands the associated activities it is expected to perform.
Independent risk management in Corporate Risk is responsible for independent oversight of risk-taking activities. The function is led by the Chief Risk Officer, who reports to the chair of the Risk Committee of the Board of Directors. Strategic enterprise function-aligned leaders in the Corporate Risk organization provide an independent view of horizontal, cross-business risks.
Strategic Enterprise Risk Management (SERM) is a group directly under the Chief Risk Officer that is responsible for a variety of strategic functions within Corporate Risk that includes risk reporting, risk governance, risk programs that oversee risk measurement and risk identification, strategic and reputational risk oversight, and risk optimization and strategy.
This current role will be part of the Shared Services team within Enterprise Risk Reporting and Intelligence (ERRI). This is a newly formed group within SERM and will be the central point for SERM's reporting/analytics business requirements/ data needs in partnership with teams across SERM and coordinate technology enablement and data infrastructure with technology and Data Management & Insights (DMI) to address tactical issues and set strategic direction.
The ideal candidate will have a strong business analysis/data and technology background with a proven track record in handling multiple projects/ priorities and experience in leading a team. The candidate should be able to lead team of business analysts, comprehend stakeholder needs, assist in documenting and reviewing BRDs and user stories, prioritize and balance work to the team members
Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Acts as a liaison between SERM teams, technology, DMI and other partner organizations by planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of highly complex business problems to be solved.
Lead the team to partner with SERM to create, update, and distribute business requirements, user stories, work flow and process flow documents, data mapping documents and collaborate with technology to deliver tools and systems to meet business needs and satisfy regulatory requirements (where applicable).
Work with business and development team members to ensure all Software Development Life-cycle processes and procedures are followed.
Lead in-depth analysis and sizing of medium and high priority technology and data needs, understanding the impact of each need to Risk and Regulatory reports.
Partner with reporting team to drive data gathering and analysis to design near term solutions, development of prototypes or proof-of-concepts as appropriate. Solutions may require identifying and solving for a combination process and technology gaps.
Build business and technology relationships and work with key internal partners to drive efficiency in process and data mapping.
Provide data analysis support to SERM partners, audit and regulatory agencies, as necessary.
Work with user groups and data providers to resolve questions, assess business needs, and recommend changes and prepare specifications for system changes (where applicable).
Hire and maintain a diverse/talented team of business analysts to build subject matter expertise in SERM SHRP (Shared Risk Platform) solutions and other Non SHRP applications, related data, processes and technical solutions to support those requirements.

Knowledge of Issues Management and other RSA (Archer) Solutions
