The BSA Quality Assurance ("QA") Analyst is responsible for performing the QA reviews on AML Transaction Monitoring ("TM") alerts, case investigations, EDD reviews, and SARs. The QA Analyst identifies, documents, and reports findings to the BSA QA Manager to ensure compliance with the Bank's established BSA/AML program. This position assists the QA Manager with the overall performance and maintenance of the BSA/AML Quality Assurance program to help drive compliance with BSA/AML policies, procedures, and guidelines.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Understand and ensure compliance with the execution of BSA/AML/OFAC policy and procedures.
Perform QA reviews on Transaction Monitoring alerts, case investigations, EDD reviews and SARs within the BSA Department
Review processes for BSA surveillance and BSA due diligence to evaluate the work product for quality, accuracy, and sound decision making
Provide feedback and communicate effectively with peers and management on the results of QA reviews to help identify potential gaps and training opportunities
Prepare assessments and identify trends on the results of QA testing to the BSA QA Manager
Provide recommendations to BSA management to enhance BSA/AML/OFAC policy and procedures based on QA review assessments to improve quality and consistency.
Adhere to all designated time frames, manage workflow to the specified deadlines and complete responsibilities in a satisfactory manner.
Participate in meetings as appropriate to discuss patterns of errors and opportunities for enhancement recommendations
Perform any other assignments as directed by BSA management to ensure department activities run smoothly and efficiently by providing leadership and training within the department.
Must be able to perform all duties within their assigned group and provide guidance and help to other BSA Analyst as needed.
Assume responsibility for the various department functions in the absence of staff members or during a declared natural disaster or pandemic
Report any suspicious or unusual activity by customers or associates
Complete the annual BSA/AML and Compliance training
Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS):
Minimum of three years BSA/AML-related banking experience
Knowledge of BSA, AML, and OFAC, with the ability to apply and explain regulatory concepts
Self- starter, capable of working under minimum supervision
Multi-tasker and able to meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment
Results oriented team player
Strong problem-solving ability
Exceptional research and analytical skills
Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
Proficient in MS Office (Outlook/Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
Strong documentation skills
Adherence to controls and standards
Knowledge of Verafin Software a plus
CAMS certification a plus
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
40 hours per week.
