Summary

Responsible for performing operational support duties in the Bank's BSA department, as directed by the BSA Officer, and documenting and resolving fraud and deposit regulatory claims.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned as necessary):

  • Perform a variety of routine daily tasks to support the compliance program, including:

  • CTR preparation and filing.

  • Review and disposition of alerts generated from the Bank's anti-money laundering software.

  • Onboarding review of new business accounts.

  • SAR preparation and filing.

  • Assist in the coordination and support of BSA audits and examinations.

  • As needed, assist with high risk account reviews, CTR exemptions, and other program level tasks.

  • Work as directed to support the BSA Officer to ensure program compliance.

  • Investigate and determine how to resolve Regulation E disputes.

  • Assist in identification and return of fraudulent checks.

  • Investigate deposit fraud claims, making referrals, as appropriate, to law enforcement and the BSA officer.

  • Assist as needed in other fraud identification and prevention efforts.

Education and/or Experience

Minimum three years of banking experience required.

College degree preferred; high school diploma required.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
