Our Loss Prevention department is looking for a Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Analyst to join their team in Melbourne, FL who serves as subject matter expert for SCCU's Bank Secrecy Act Compliance Program and Anti-Money Laundering Procedures to ensure compliance with all appropriate internal and external procedures and regulations.

BSA Analyst Duties & Responsibilities

  • Monitors daily reporting of new account activity for adherence to the BSA Member Identification program. Provides OFAC checks for all branch and express personnel throughout the day.Reviews reports of new accounts opened but not yet funded and performs follow-up when necessary.

  • Reviews daily cash activity reports for possible CTR filing requirements.Assists branch staff in theproper branch completion of CTRs and maintains a request log for missing or corrected CTRs.Performs necessary follow-up and reports problems to the appropriate supervisor.Prepares monthly reports.

  • Files all Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) based on activity as outlined in the BSA SAR procedure.Coordinates with the Loss Prevention Specialist for supporting documentation and information for filing.Obtains the proper signatures before remitting any and all SARs.

  • Maintains the monthly board report of all SAR filings.

  • Maintains accurate and detailed documentation of all pertinent information to support BSA/AML reporting and fraud & forgery cases.Ensures all documentation is accurately recorded in fraud tracking software in a timely manner. Acts as custodian of records for all BSA/AML related documents and files.Provides documentation for auditors and examiners when needed.Replies to subpoenas for same.

  • Ensures accurate and timely updates of government lists and transaction monitoring reports.Maintains the integrity of the vendor management software whenever product or service changes within the credit union may impact the application. Processes the FinCEN file against the database.Maintains OFAC and SDN updates.

  • Ensures required annual BSA compliance training is completed by all new and existing employees in conjunction with the SCCU training department.Works with Training department to create, update and deliver BSA/AML and OFAC training.

  • Reviews daily cash purchase transactions for logging to the Monetary Instruments Log.Ensures receipt of monthly logs from all branches in a timely manner and reviews for accuracy.Reports suspicious activity to Loss Prevention Specialist and management.

  • Ensures that forms, disclosures, reports and products comply with all applicable federal and state BSA/AML related rules and regulations.Recommends revisions/modifications when applicable.Prepares approved updates.

  • Must be available M F from 10:00a
  • 7:00pm plus Saturdays 8:00a

  • 5:00pm with a day off during the week.
