Title
Bronson Internal Travel Staffing Registered Nurse Med/Surg FT 12N
This position is intended to meet the most critical staffing needs across the Bronson system and will:
Travel to BBC, BLH, BMH, BSH. BCOM with separate pool
Work every other weekend and 50% holidays, including Christmas
12 hour shifts. OT may be scheduled-BT may work no more than 48 hrs/week.
Rotate assignment (organization and/or unit) location every two weeks
Know current and next 2 week in advance
Not be eligible for mileage reimbursement, PTO accrual, nursing scholarship, tuition reimbursement, workshop / conference time, certification and advanced degree completion pay or nursing professional advancement ladder participation
Not eligible for any bonuses, specialty, differential, charge or preceptor pay
PTO:
5 unpaid prescheduled days off per six month contract with the exception MPMLA. Unpaid time off will be requested at least 30 days in advance.
PTO will not accrue.
40 hours of MPMLA (medical leave) will be accrued. This is not PTO.
Candidates who have a PTO balance accrued prior to transitioning into a RN travel role will have their PTO balance frozen until employee transfers into a position w/PTO or they terminate employment.
If employment is terminated at any time, payout will be at 50% of the salary rate the PTO was accrued and not the RN travel rate.
403B: employee contributions only. Bronson will not provide any contribution.
Cluster first. Cluster may occur within or outside competency group (ie. Critical care to med-surg; OB to NICU/Peds). Competency appropriate assignments will be given.
LCD: voluntary unpaid; involuntary will be paid for 50% of the canceled shift.
Standby: Due to ineligibility for extra incentive pay, employee is not required to be placed on standby (exception OB requirements for mandatory LCD)
Commit to a 6 month employment contract
Candidates practice in accordance to organizational procedures and guidelines and the Michigan Public Health Code.

Leader is defined as director of nursing, nurse manager, unit coordinator
Leader must use RN Travel Nurse Recommendation Form

Additional Job Requirements for all RN internal travel pool staff
Licensed Registered Nurse in good standing with the State of Michigan
Associate's degree in Nursing is required
Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred; must obtain within 8 years of hire. If after 8 years, this requirement is not met, employment will be terminated.
Candidates must possess at least one year experience in an acute care
Must possess at least one year RN experience required
BLS (all), ACLS (critical care, ED, OB)
Demonstrates competencies for the population served
Additional Job Requirements for BCOM RN internal travel pool staff
Fingerprinting required
Subject to all COVID -related requirements, such as but not limited to routine testing as necessary
Ensures appropriate delegation to CNA's to ensure work is completed
Shifts may be variable but standard in this facility is an 8 hour shift
Additional Job Requirements for ED RN internal travel pool staff
Fingerprinting required.
Candidates must possess at least one year experience in an acute care ED
BLS, ACLS, PALS , STABLE, TNCC certifications are required prior to hire; ENA triage module (will provide during onboarding)
Demonstrates competencies for the population serve
Must possess at least 2 year of ED experience required
Additional Job requirements for Obstetric internal travel pool RNs:
Must possess at least one year experience in acute care setting
Two years of experience in an LDRP or in L&D care setting
Required experience in labor, delivery, circulating obstetrical OR cases and mother/baby care,
Preferred competency in triage, nursery, and charge role
BLS, ACLS, NRP, Fetal Monitor Certification through AWHONN or NCC/PQF required prior to hire
Float first outside cluster secondary to external travel nurses
If mandated LCD, will be required to remain on call for the remainder of the shift; location as needed and per unit guidelines.
