Overview

We are looking for a Broker Placement Specialist to join our commercial lines team full-time. Do you have an optimistic outlook and willingness to work with a dynamic and diverse team? Are you a resourceful and ambitious individual wanting to continue to expand your insurance knowledge and skills?

How you'll make an impact

• Markets customer business, typically of moderate to high complexity, to variety of insurance carriers.

• Independently and under limited supervision, evaluates companies to ensure that they are qualified in the marketplace.

• Refers questions to more experienced specialists or management.

• Receives and processes requests for quotations from account personnel.

• Identifies and analyzes client exposures to recommend and/or design risk transfer/financing products.

• Identifies appropriate carriers, sends requests, negotiates favorable quotes and prepares recommendations.

• You will help with strategic planning for the placement of business with appropriate insurers

• You will ensure the right information is flowing among Gallagher and our carriers.

• A Broker helps overall growth objectives through effective marketing and developing relationships with producers and insurers

• You will be involved in developing products, facilities and market support to win and retain business

• Support for Producers in the development of new business

• Assistance in the marketing of key and difficult placements

• Working with our claims team to assist with claims settlement and advocacy

• You will have the ability to learn on a continual basis through educational opportunities and collaboration with colleagues

About You

Required:

• Bachelor's degree and 4 years related experience required.

• Insurance licensing required.

Preferred:

• Professional designation preferred, such as CPCU, CIC or ARM.
