The Broker Agent Service Senior Representative will support case installation, plan enrollment, and personalized brokerage support services for the Excelsior Insurance General Agency. In addition, the Broker Agent Service Senior Representative will advance streamlining uniform processes across the company in cooperation with the other Broker Agent Service Senior Representatives.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manages ongoing relationships and service delivery to clients for one or more accounts

  • Acts as outward facing, dedicated resource for assigned accounts, typically with direct client contact (not call center) and large or complex accounts

  • Works closely with Sales Leads on renewals and upselling, but incumbents do not have specific sales goal accountability or primary responsibility to close sales

  • Critically evaluating current processes and making recommendations for improvements

  • Understand industry trends and emerging capabilities to inform prioritization of work

  • Provide business stakeholders regular updates on operational performance

  • Develop strong working relationships with key internal stakeholders

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)

  • 1+ years of experience in a relevant sales support operations role

  • 1+ years of direct client facing experience in Health Care Lines of Business (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial Lines of Business)

  • 1+ years of experience with working cross-functionally in dealing with both internal and external customers

  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office

  • Ability to travel locally up to 10% for occasional meetings and client visits

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Self-starter and ability to work effectively in ambiguous situations and deliver clear solutions

  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish

  • Sales operations experience from a prior Agency or General Agency

  • Knowledge of Commercial small group, individual & supplemental insurance products

  • All Telecommuters will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy.

California, Colorado, Nevada, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Hawaii or Washington Residents Only: The hourly range for California, Colorado, Nevada, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, or Washington residents is $19.47 to $38.08 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
