Position Information
Position Title Broadcast Production Manager Banner Position Number 001613 E-Class NC - Nonclassified - .53 or > Department Information Technology
The position reports to the Director of University Broadcast & Athletics Technology. The manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of event streaming, AV technology and ensuring high production standards. The manager will lead and support the student broadcast staff, hire and train student workers, manage external partnerships, and handle technical issues during live broadcasts. Additionally, this position will create engaging content, operate media equipment, manage IT systems, and provide general IT support.
Required Experience
Bachelor's degree in broadcasting, information technology, communications, etc.
One year of experience in live video production and streaming media.
Must have strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Availability to work flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
Job Duties
Manage and coordinate all aspects of event broadcast/livestreaming productions, including, commencements and ceremonies, lectures, special events, announcements, and some athletic events.
Ensure that all livestreams meet high production standards.
Supervise and lead the student broadcast staff, providing guidance, support, and mentoring.
Hire, train, and schedule student workers to assist with broadcast operations.
Cultivate and manage relationships with various departments on campus.
Assist with the creation of specialty content for events and other multimedia platforms.
Proactively identify and resolve technical issues during live events, ensuring uninterrupted coverage.
Setup and operate digital media production equipment in studio and on location.
Manage and support various IT systems related to Athletics and broadcasting.
Provide guidance to faculty, staff, students, and clients on the application of digital media equipment and methods.
Assist with various aspects of broadcast productions for athletic events.
Perform routine maintenance and general upkeep of all broadcast equipment and spaces.
Salary Range $39,500-$51,400- Salary may be increased based off education, experience, and internal equity. Salary Type Salary Time Type Full-Time Work Location MU
