Broadcast IT Engineer

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Manager, Broadcast IT, you will provide administration for the QVC US broadcast IT infrastructure and support end-users. You will provide root cause analysis of escalated and complex incidents/problems related to broadcast IT systems. Impart technical expertise of established IT standards to the US Broadcast Engineering team. Manage and optimize system performance of broadcast IT infrastructure to ensure 24x7x365 availability. You will work with Broadcast Engineering Architects to determine requirements for new broadcast IT systems and manage installations. Support the IT specific portions of all broadcast systems (video routers, audio mixers, cameras, intercom).

Your Impact

• You will provide 2nd tier technical support for the QVC US broadcast IT systems, including after-hours support.

• You will be accountable for equipment specifications, system design, and installation.

• You will oversee project integrations and ensure all tasks are completed.

• You will test of all broadcast IT infrastructure's hardware and software.

• You will lead setup and configuration of broadcast IT systems.

• You will be a subject matter expert for broadcast IT disaster recovery implementation, and testing.

What You Bring

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field of study is required. Equivalent work experience in a related field may be given consideration.

• IT certification preferred (CCNA/CCNP, Microsoft, VMWare)

Experience:

• You will have 4 to 6 years of experience working in a corporate or broadcasting IT multi-tiered environment, installing, monitoring and troubleshooting computer servers and applications is required.

• You will have network administration experience.

• You will have experience in Windows Admin, Network Admin, DB Admin and server technologies required.
