THV11, TEGNA's CBS affiliate in Little Rock, AR is seeking a part time Video Editor. We are seeking a creative and efficient editor who can create sharable and exciting content for television, social media and mobile. Our ideal candidate is familiar with the latest editing software, tools and techniques and has a passion for the craft. Qualified candidates must be ready and able to quickly create high quality content and the content must be ready for air or web-posting in a timely manner.
Creative story telling of the highest journalist standards;
Editing, filing and posting a variety of video elements including voice-overs, packages, high-end animations and bumpers.
Encode video for web and mobile distribution;
Ability to operate non-linear edit systems, experience with Edius and Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere & After Effects) is a plus;
ENG shooting experience is also a plus;
Must have a professional demeanor and work well/as a team player with news team and staff at all times.
Ability to multi-task, handling editing assignments and capturing feeds and FTP material from multiple TEGNA stations, while constantly monitoring quality control.
Command of non-linear video editing principles and practice
Two or four year degree in journalism, communications or video production
Being a positive problem solver
One to three years of experience working in non-linear video editing in a television newsroom or a production company
