Under general supervision the Broadband Field Service Technician installs, changes, repairs and disconnects cable services including video, data, and telephone. Performs troubleshooting at time of installation and on scheduled service calls from the tap to the customer's electronic devices. Educates customers regarding new and existing services and describes the advantage of and sells other services to meet customer needs.

  • Provides quality internal and external customer service surrounding the Company values. Installs, tests and troubleshoots Company services including video, data and telephone from tap to customer electronic devices. Utilizes network tools and troubleshooting knowledge to resolve network problems.

  • Resolves issues at installation and on scheduled service call from customer's electronic devices to tap. Educates customers regarding use of installed products; explains waivers, agreements, customer release forms, charges and billing procedures.

  • Determines customer's current service levels; inquiries about customer preferences and needs; recommends service upgrades or additional products. Resolves or escalates customer complaints, as appropriate. Uses automated routing system or plans daily route; requisitions equipment and supplies; stocks Company vehicle. Meets scheduled appointment windows. Completes work orders and other documentation on paper and/or by mobile device. Represents Company to collect payments and equipment; secures appropriate customer signatures.

  • Maintains network integrity through preventive maintenance and home certifications.

  • Adheres to established maintenance windows for all outages.

  • Uses small hand tools, power tools, meters, and other test equipment.

  • Maintains and secures Company truck and equipment.

  • Works on regularly scheduled days as well as unscheduled days and beyond regular work hours as required.

  • When applicable rearranging and reconnecting fiber optic service drops at pole, underground or building terminals.

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Ability to communicate in person and by telephone

  • Vision ability: close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus; ability to differentiate between different sizes and colors of wires

  • Hand and finger dexterity to carry and to use tools and equipment as necessary

  • Ability to work while standing 50 - 70% of the time

  • Ability to use any equipment in a safe manner, in accordance with company, industry and regulatory standards

  • Ability to safely lift 75 pounds

  • Ability to carry, climb and operate extension ladder, (approx. 28 ft high and 75 pounds). Accommodation with 50-pound maximum lifting is available.

  • Ability to climb poles using gaffs, hooks and climbing belt (weight limit of 350 pounds) as needed

  • Ability to work in confined spaces such as crawlspaces and attics by crawling, bending, reaching, twisting

  • Ability to drive Company vehicle in a safe and responsible manner

  • Knowledge of basic mathematics

  • Knowledge of basic electronics

  • Skill in using a Windows-based computer

  • Ability to comprehend and operate appropriate testing equipment (e.g. signal level meters, ohm meters)

  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively

  • Ability to work independently and with others

POSITION SUMMARY The Surgical Technologist is responsible for providing assistance to surgeons, registered nurses and other specialists in caring for patients with minor to major illnesses or injuries. He/she functions under the direction of the licensed registered nurse. Will also be required to function and cross train to the Endoscopy department with all the skill requirements. Accepts shift work and takes call as required by the department. Works with patients ranging in life span from infant to geriatric. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES * Assists in delivery of age appropriate patient care in the operating room and other procedural areas. * Assembles and prepares sterile setup of supplies and instruments used for surgical procedures. * Anticipates surgeon's needs during surgery based on knowledge of surgical procedures. * Passes instruments and supplies to the surgeon and surgical assistant. * Ability to perform scrub role in two or more OR specialty services as assigned. * Assists with room turnover to ensure timely, efficient use of OR time. * Assists to help prepare for the next day's surgical cases by pulling case carts and updating preference cards. * Responsible for restocking unused sterile supplies and equipment, recognizing appropriate integrity of sterile packaging and handling. * Acts a resource for surgeons, pct's, attendants and other departments. * Assists in maintaining a clean, orderly and safe environment. * Handles sponges and sharps appropriately to protect the patient and entire surgical team as well as providing accurate count and reconciliation of sponges and sharps. * Responsible for strict maintenance of surgical sterile field. * Participates in unit activities * Participates in budget and inventory control. * Keeps supervisor and or supply clerk informed of needed items. * Participate in staff and self-development and is responsible for maintenance of certification requirements. * Takes appropriate safety precautions to prevent/manage accidents in the area. * Requirement to perform duties related to disinfection and sterilization of instruments. * Participates in performance/process improvement. * Assists with orientation of new employees. * Completes annual competency requirements. * Attends 80% of staff meetings. * Attends 90% of Mandatory Education meetings and in-services. * Employee's conduct must reflect the company's values and a commitment to the Code of Conduct, ethics and compliance program. * Adheres and upholds all service behaviors as listed in the I CARE value commitment and other departmental initiatives. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Required: Graduation from a surgical tech program or related experience in the field. Certification as a Surgical Tech. A minimum of three (3) years recent experience as a Surgical Technologist with demonstrated competency in multiple inpatient surgical specialties. LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES Required: Surgical Tech Certification. Current certification as BCLS Healthcare Provider. Preferred: ACLS.
