WSP, an awardwinning and innovative multidisciplinary engineering consulting firm, has an immediate opening for a Bridge Inspection Assistant Team Leader to join the Transportation Business Department in the Warwick, RI office, with options for working in our other New England offices including Boston, MA and Warwick, RI.

Responsibilities include:

  • Review previous inspection reports and assist in the planning of field operations

  • Perform inspection work and compile reports

  • Receive directions from Project Manager and other senior staff

  • Technical compliance

Job Requirements

Requirements include:

  • BS degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from an accredited institution

  • 0-1 year of industry experience

  • Familiarity with local DOT a plus

  • Familiarity with bridge inspection a plus

  • Physically capable of performing continuous field work including working at heights and in close quarters, climbing, carrying ladders and gear, working in adverse weather conditions, etc.

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

  • Exhibit interest in performing the work contemplated, and be deemed capable of continuous employment over the duration of the program

  • Valid, unrestricted driver license

  • Be a minimum 18 years of age

In addition, the ASM Support may be expected to provide full leadership over the store at any point in absence of the Store Manager. The ASM Support is responsible for building and developing (includes recruiting, hiring, training, mentoring and coaching) a professional and talented team of Support Managers that collectively foster a culture of efficiency and commitment to the customer experience. In addition, the individual in this role drives critical coordination across day and night operations to ensure all tasks are handled effectively between the two teams and to reduce the likelihood of operational activities impacting the customer experience. Job Requirements Requires morning, afternoon, and evening availability any day of the week; physical ability to move large, bulky and/or heavy merchandise; physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.
