Bridge Engineer

Description:

Seeking experienced Civil Engineering Consultant to join an established civil firm to assist in project management/coordination, business development, quality control, and mentoring junior staff members.

Daily Responsibilities Include...

1.Perform professional engineering work assignments involving the application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria in carrying out routine engineering tasks in order to fulfill project demands and client expectations.

2.Provide component design of complex projects and direct project designs for less complex projects.

3.Prepare specifications for project bids.

4.Assist with quality reviews and review own work.

5.Prepare permit applications according to code and regulatory requirements.

6.Prepare opinions of probable cost according to bid data.

7.Assist in development of scope and budget schedules as requested.

8.Performs project management skills and uses technology tools to do so (e.g., DelTek Vision, Mosaic)

9.Creates a positive, credible impression of company during interactions with clients, assuring adherence to our Purpose, Vision and Values.

10. Assist with proposal and presentation preparations according to client expectations.

11. Respond to customer needs and expectations.

12. Using DelTek Vision reporting, identify and research potential projects and reports to the company, according to the marketing plan.

13. Participate in assessment of technical qualifications of new recruits as required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• BS in Civil Engineering from accredited university

Civil EIT with minimum 3 years professional experience.

• Professional licensed Engineer (preferred)

• Familiarity with AASHTOWare, AutoCad, MicroStation, Vision and MS Office suite preferred

• 3 or more years of experience in bridge and structures design

• Experience with DOT standards preferred

• Project management experience required.

Intermediate to Expert
