City of Hope Medical Group Seeks an Exceptional Breast Surgeon to join our growing team

The Department of Surgery at City of Hope National Medical Center is seeking a fellowship-trained breast surgeon to join our distinguished Division of Breast Surgery.

This position is a rare opportunity to work in a 400+ member integrated, multidisciplinary Medical Group Practice serving an NCI designated comprehensive cancer center in highly desirable Southern California. City of Hope is an expanding institution in both numbers of patients per year as well as infrastructure investment in clinical, academic and research facilities.

Position Highlights:

  • Provide patient-centered care in collaboration with a world class, nationally recognized team of surgical, medical, radiation cancer specialists and other health care professionals.

  • Primarily a clinical position that will provide excellent patient care through compassion and collaboration and service with a sense of urgency. This position has an opportunity to participate in clinical trials and contribute to the Women's Cancers Program and City of Hope research mission as a clinical partner in the design of clinical trials and translational research studies and innovation in surgical treatment and management of breast cancer.

  • Working with multidisciplinary breast oncology teams with access to state-of-the art facilities, as well as world class plastic surgery expertise and complementary services

  • Relocation assistance available

  • Potential for incentive compensation and an excellent benefits package, including a generous retirement plan (no match requirement)

  • Salary Range: $300K - $425K. The range listed is exclusively for base compensation for full-time employment and does not include incentive compensation or benefits. Actual compensation will be adjusted for experience, training, hospital/community need and other factors.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working in an academic medical center or specialty cancer center that delivers both clinical and translational research to patients diagnosed with cancer is desirable

  • Be well-versed in the state of cancer care and the latest research and innovations

  • Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree, be fellowship-trained in breast surgery or surgical oncology with a focused practice on breast surgery, and Board- certified or eligible

  • The selected candidate for the position must be eligible to obtain or already hold an active California medical license
