Major Role and Purpose:
1.To ensure the overall success of any job or project assigned through efficient management of time, personnel and cost.

Description of Duties:
1.Assign and supervise daily activities of Utility personnel
2.Enforce safety regulations, direct barricading and traffic control when needed
3.Coordinate and schedule trucks, equipment and materials to job site
4.Call or electronically generate requests for blue stake markings before construction projects begin
5.Prepare and maintain required reports
6.Conduct weekly tailgate safety meetings and enforce all safety policies and procedures
7.Prepare accident reports, make preliminary assessment of damages, and arrange for necessary prepares
8.Interview, select, train, discipline and terminate employees as needed
9.Review, verify, and submit time cards to payroll
10. Perform all other duties deemed necessary or assigned.

Work Experience:
1.Minimum of 2-4 years related skills, knowledge or experience

Skills Required:
1.Knowledge of materials, methods and tools involved in constructing, maintaining, and repairing water distribution, waste water collection systems and related structures and facilities
2.Understand grades a they apply to utility installation and ability to read blue prints/ understand specifications
3.Knowledge of hazards of water distribution or waste water collection work and safety measures to be observed, including trench safety , confined space entry , personal protective equipment, and disinfection procedures
4.Excellent communication and organization skills
5.Basic record keeping and office procedures
6.Valid Virginia driver's license.

Major Role and Purpose: * Assist management to ensure that projects are completed on schedule and within budget. Description of Duties: * Control and management of project documentation and pay records for assigned projects. * Assist the construction manager and project manager with planning and scheduling activities * Prepare scheduled and necessary updates of construction activities and analysis of manpower and equipment required * Maintain a daily record of all significant project facts, events, and conditions * Review cost and schedules with construction manager * Communicate with VDOT and other contractors * Indirectly responsible for crews related to projects, notifying management of any personnel issues or injuries * Constantly strive to improve leadership and management capability and performance, and to acquire additional knowledge, skills, and ability through study and personal development to qualify for positions of greater responsibility * Attend and document the weekly schedule and coordinating meetings and produce minutes of the meetings * Inform all supervisors and subcontractors promptly of any construction schedule changes * Report regularly to project manager to keep him/her constantly informed of job progress, plans and problems that could significantly affect costs or schedules * Perform other tasks as necessary Education: * Bachelors degree in construction management or civil engineering or * A comparable combination of education and experience in a construction company Work Experience/Qualifications: * Effective organizational, management and writing skills * Knowledge in VDOT specifications * Knowledge in construction practices * Valid drivers license * Strong interpersonal and communications skills Physical Demands: * Job requires the following motions: driving, standing, sitting, squatting, reaching, pulling/pushing, and lifting * Required to drive Branscome Inc. is an Equal Opportunity /Affirmative Action Employer dedicated to promoting diversity and maintaining a drug-free workplace.
