Brand Social Platform Management and Innovation Strategist

This high-profile role leads key horizontal strategies and platform relationships for Enterprise Brand Social Media and Content Team. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams supporting Capital One lines of business to understand business needs and develop Enterprise-wide social strategies to meet growth objectives. The candidate will be responsible for managing social platform relationships and many aspects of social media governance for the Enterprise to ensure we are both innovative and well-managed, upholding our social media standards as a world-class brand.
Developing and growing strong relationships with 3rd-party social media platform partners, such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Snapchat, to develop deep subject matter expertise that can inform innovation
Leading development and articulation of platform strategies across Enterprise social channels. Spearheading growth of new LinkedIn Elevate employee social engagement program, collaborating across lines of business to increase quality adoption and showcase results
Partnering with line-of-business-focused content strategists and paid media teams to bring innovative campaigns to market
Developing new strategies and approaches for inspiring social and content marketers across the Enterprise to be both innovative and well-managed, including designing communications and curriculum that educates and informs on best practices and standards
Liaising with legal, compliance and risk teams to assure social governance policies and procedures are met when publishing to channels and engaging with consumers
Supporting the Social & Content 'Community of Practice' for the enterprise, convening marketers across the company who are activating on social media for continuous improvement and to cultivate integration opportunities
Serving as strategy lead and POC for Enterprise social media architecture, including managing a handle registry and new social channel setups, relaunches and/or decommissions
Bachelor's Degree or Military Experience
At least 5 years of experience in Digital Marketing Strategy, Social Media Marketing Strategy, or Corporate Communications
At least 2 years of Social Media Marketing Strategy experience, including analyzing, planning, and executing social media campaigns
Experience in marketing in a regulated industry
Marketing communications and/or PR leadership experience
Experience developing processes and standards for brand governance
Experience with integrated marketing for products/services with emphasis on digital channels
Excellent, persuasive written and oral communication and presentation skills
Skilled relationship-builder who can build high-leverage internal networks
Ability to partner effectively with cross-functional teams, work autonomously, and navigate ambiguity along with senior stakeholders, creative teams, legal and compliance professionals, etc.
Experience using workflow management systems
Ability to be flexible in prioritizing work, managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines
