Collaborates with management to define and develop marketing strategies to drive profitable growth;. Identifies, establishes and maintains relationships with brand partners, third party vendors, etc. to leverage current offerings, opportunities and successes. Increases agreed upon growth goals, drives demand generation and expands market share by identifying, planning and executing the activities required to ensure successful achievement of marketing business objectives. Markets products/brands within budget to obtain maximum profitability. Evaluates and adjusts strategies to respond to changing and/or competitive markets. Such activities may include the following as well as other duties as assigned

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Identifies and cultivates key relationships with influencers applicable to obtain Marketing Development Funds (MDF) for assigned brand and manages MDF budgets to maximize ROI.

  • Continually collaborates with internal peers, and/or vendors to effectively define, develop and execute marketing strategies.

  • Develops and/or implements marketing policies and objectives.

  • Manages the introduction of new programs or features.

  • Defines the internal and external communication strategy for areas of responsibility

  • Develops, implements and/or maintains all standardized marketing methodologies, tools and collateral of the assigned area ensuring consistent branding for internal and external communications.

  • Coordinates and manages applicable events.

  • Contracts and works with outside vendors for development and delivery of marketing programs.

  • May manage fee-based marketing programs focused on targeted markets.

  • Thorough knowledge of principles, theories and concepts in area of professional expertise.

  • Is competent in all job functions and has general understanding of the industry practices, techniques and standards.

  • Develops solutions to a wide variety of problems and works on projects requiring evaluation and analysis.

  • May refer to policies, practices and precedents for guidance but determines best course of action to achieve results.

  • Work is performed independently requiring judgment and discretion.

  • May receive some limited guidance for new assignments.

  • Work may be reviewed for overall adequacy.

  • Interacts with management and professionals within department and other parts of the organization.

  • May represent department externally on projects or with clients.

  • Actions impact the success of the overall department and sometimes the organization.

  • Failure to accomplish work or erroneous decisions will result in delays to projects, loss of revenue or allocation of additional resources to remedy.

Work Experience:

  • Typically 3-5 years with bachelor's or equivalent years of experience, or 1-3 years of experience with Master's degree

Education and Certification(s):

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

What is this role about? Our Service Managers play a key leadership role in our local Terminix branches. This role is all about leading and motivating our local Pest Technician Teams to provide outstanding service delivery of Terminix products to our valued customers. What does a "Day-in-the-Life" look like? Every day our teams of Pest Techs are out in the neighborhoods across the country visiting residential customers and performing their pest control treatments. The Service Manager at each local branch is responsible for ensuring this team is functioning effectively, operating efficiently and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. Here are a few more specifics of what you would be doing each day: * Monitoring branch scheduling and ensuring pest tech routes are successfully completed * Ensuring regulatory compliance and safety standards are met or exceeded * Responding to customer concerns, including resolving cancellation requests * Inspecting and evaluating the performance of Pest Technicians * Monitoring and maintaining inventory levels of pest control products * Facilitating continual training of local sales and service teams What do I need to be successful? * An associate's degree and a valid driver's license are both requirements. (A four year degree is highly desirable) * Having 1-2 years of related experience is very helpful, but not required * Willingness to relocate is highly desirable * You are able to effectively lead and motivate others * You have strong communications skills – impersonal, written, presenting * You are good at problem solving and coming up with practical solutions * You are able to build rapport easily and establish trust with customers and employees * You are detailed oriented and understand the importance of safety * You have a good aptitude for basic/intermediate math-- necessary for doing calculations related to sales and service * Of course, given our business, you should be comfortable working outside and in confined spaces like crawl spaces and attics when necessary Why should I choose Terminix?
