Duties and Responsibilities
Educates and reinforces Red Roof's marketing Brand Standards internally and externally for consistency and quality representation of the brand
Manages Red Roof's professional photography standards and best practices
Advises hoteliers and operations team members about hotel photo shoot standards and preparations to ensure quality outcome
Reviews, edits and approves custom hotel collateral
Reviews, edits and approves hotel photography
Serves as the daily contact with Red Roof's photography, asset library and marketing collateral vendors
Is the first escalation point for questions or issues of Red Roof's Brand Marketing Standards for franchisees and internal colleagues
Manages Red Roof's digital, photo and video assets library
Reviews, audits and troubleshoots digital assets
Manages inventory of Red Roof marketing collateral
Supports national sales initiatives with digital and print marketing collateral
Reviews, copy writes and edits Web pages, collateral and other marketing materials
Makes Web page updates using a content management system (CMS)
Participates in multiple digital marketing projects in a collaborative team environment where last minute changes and tight deadlines are critical to success
Maintains internal documentation for training and communications purposes
Responds within directed timeframes to inquiries and support requests
Attends meetings as directed
Regular collaboration with other departments and team members including Sales, Operations, Revenue Management, Distribution, and Franchise Managers/Owners.
May serve on the Brand Standards Committee, at the invitation of the Committee Chair
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Skills and Experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must, with written fluency in American-style English.
Excellent organizational skills required. Must be very detail-oriented.
Familiarity with reviewing marketing materials and images for quality assurance.
Basic photo editing skills required. Preferably, experience using Adobe Photoshop.
An eye for visual design. Graphic design skills are a plus.
Can demonstrate understanding of digital marketing practices, purposes, and how to employ.
Good Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) skills.
Experience working in a Web content management system (CMS) platform a plus. Coding and programming are NOT required skills and are not part of this role.
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Liberal Arts, Graphic Design, Business, OR equivalent work experience preferred.
Knowledge
Understand core digital marketing disciplines and how they are used in e-commerce, such as Web, Search, paid media, social media, email marketing.
Understand basic concept of e-commerce and impact on sales.
Understand the digital customer journey to an online purchase.
Familiarity with common online and digital marketing tools and resources.
Familiarity with the hospitality industry a plus but not required.
