JOB SUMMARY:

The Marketing Department, is seeking a full time intern to assist the Evinrude brand marketing team with their daily tasks. This internship will offer the right candidate with valuable marketing and project management experience, as the candidate will gain increased responsibilities and projects as they demonstrate their capabilities.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary purpose of this role is to support the Evinrude brand marketing team through coordination of various marketing tactics and projects. Candidates will also be asked to support the team with administrative and logistical tasks.

Potential assignments throughout the course of the contract:

  • Maintenance of the on-line dealer marketing portal

  • Execute production and distribution of dealer marketing materials

  • Coordinate logistics to support various shows & events needs

  • Execute production and distribution of consumer direct marketing tactics

  • Support in the execution of Social Media initiatives

  • Coordination with digital agency to execute website maintenance and updates

  • Processing department purchase orders and invoices

  • Interact with supervisors, project leaders, sales and marketing staff on a daily basis

Other duties may include, but are not limited to web updates, data entry, report analysis, sales support, development of presentation materials, composing correspondence to boat partners, dealers, and sales representatives, compile marketing research, and expand basic knowledge in the areas of sales, marketing and product development.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Pursuing Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, or communications.

  • GPA greater than or equal to 3.0/4.0.

  • Previous marketing experience a plus.

  • Able to work independently.

  • Entrepreneurial Spirit with a Can Do, Will Do Attitude

  • Effective project management skills essential.

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Strong communication (written, oral and presentation) skills.

  • Highly organized and able to multi-task.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, and social media platforms.

  • Passionate about power sports and boating industry is a plus.

  • Knowledge about outboard motors, boating industry and engines a plus.

The Supplier Quality Engineer team works with Evinrude outboard engine development teams & suppliers to ensure a successful launch of new outboard engines to the marketplace. YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Work with Supplier Quality Engineers to perform APQP activities on New Product Development parts to ensure quality processes are in place at supplier manufacturing site, leading to successful launch of new outboard engines. * Investigate and analyze defective supplier components & assemblies and work with suppliers to resolve issues quickly. * Work with Product Engineers to develop parts for manufacturability * Work with Suppliers to develop new parts manufacturing processes. YOUR KEY QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS * Enrolled in an Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical) program and completed sophomore year. * Knowledge of Internal Combustion Engines is a plus * Must be able to perform basic tasks in Microsoft and Google environments * Strong analytical, diagnostic and problem-solving skills * Must be able to read and understand engineering drawings * Must be self-motivated, self-directed and possess strong organizational skills * Strong communication skills; both written and verbal * Must be flexible to performing a wide range of tasks, responding to changes in direction, accepting new challenges, responsibilities and assignments * Must be able to demonstrate adequate mechanical aptitude * Must be willing to work in a hand-on engine development environment We are a global leader in the world of power sports, vehicles, propulsion systems and boats.
