  • Become the Skip Hop brand gatekeeper; developing and implementing overall guidelines, strategy and focus for the brand as a whole

  • Manage the brands multi-channel marketing planning process from initial strategy through execution. Partner cross-functionally to ensure effective and on-time completion of planning milestones

  • Establish an integrated, holistic view of the brands marketing cadence and events

  • Provide direction to channel counterparts, including Creative and copy direction, Copy development, Wholesale Marketing, Tradeshow Marketing, Merchandising, Ecomm, Retail, etc

  • Actively participate in creative reviews and provide feedback, being the brand voice at the table

  • Develop and execute long-range marketing strategies for the overall Skip Hop brand

  • Analyze and synthesize consumer insights to develop consumer strategies

  • Identify, negotiate with and manage strategic partnerships

  • Manage agency relationships

  • Plan, execute and manage brand-level initiatives

  • Lead and drive community management Skip Hop brand owned social media channels. Develop & implement the appropriate and innovative social media strategy, conversations/editorial direction and content with our consumers, and utilize analytics to understand performance to optimize and adjust moving forward.

  • Implement strategies that drive brand awareness, customer engagement and drive traffic to our brands, site and stores.

  • Bring out-of-the-box thinking to life with unique social concepts that engage audiences in a new way, aligned to overall positioning and creative tones with a fresh social perspective & customized experience.

  • Maintain Skip Hops brand voice and response guidelines, while clearly understanding escalation issues and taking quick action to follow protocol

  • Build and manage seasonal budgets for brand, social and Public Relations

  • Drive seasonal hindsight process

  • Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing cadence, messaging, promotions and media across all channels

  • Recommend changes based on last year results and current year performance

  • Support Leadership Team with presentation development, including Monthly Business Reviews, Quarterly Product Reviews, Line Reviews, and additional meetings

  • Monitor and evaluate competitive actions - develop recommendations

  • Track industry trends and new technologies to drive innovation in our marketing strategies and programs

  • This person will oversee a social media associate as well as the PR Agency and Brand Agency

Experience and Skills

  • 5-10 years Brand Marketing experience. 3+ years in social preferred

  • Drive Cross-functional partnership with cross functional teams, including merchandising, product, creative and ecommerce

  • Expertise with Social Media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest)

  • Experience in the following analytics tools a plus: Facebook, Twitter, Curalate, Simply Measured & Percolate

  • Experience developing, mentoring or coaching others

  • Strong interpersonal skills, highly collaborative working and communication style

  • Ability to manage multiple projects AND provide leadership and expertise in how to reach the millennial mom

  • High energy, team player with strong management and project management skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams

  • Strong verbal, presentation, and written skills with ability to influence and persuade at all levels

  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve independently

  • Strong analytical abilities

  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately while working toward multiple deadlines

  • Strong proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
