Pacira Biosciences currently has an opening for a Product Manager, Orthopedics.

The Product Manager, Orthopedics will have a key role in achieving the commercial goals for EXPAREL by ensuring strategic pull through of marketing projects and programs related to the Orthopedic & Spine franchise. The Product Manager will have input into our brand strategy, tactics and tools, advisory forums across stakeholders.

The Product Manager, Orthopedics is responsible for collaborating across the Pacira organization to coordinate and execute marketing programs and strategy, develop materials for internal and external customers, professional engagements and education, and society meetings

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by an individual assigned to this job. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Support the execution of the annual brand plan: manage the development and execution of brand tactics while monitoring effectiveness and ROI for joint (knee and shoulder) and spine franchises.

  • Support key marketing initiatives for joint and spine franchises aligned with the annual strategic brand plan

  • Educate sales force on product, strategy, tactics and pull-through; support field requests; develop and implement POA meetings.

  • Project manage key contracts (vendor contracts, HCP contracts) across the franchise to ensure seamless delivery of commercial 1:1 peer exchange platform, speaking engagements at sponsored symposia/webinars, KOL panels and advisory forums, promotional materials, etc.

  • Lead submissions process of materials to medical/legal/compliance review to ensure timely and accurate approvals

  • Coordinate conference/society plans as defined by Orthopedic franchise team members - includes exhibit booth size, promotional activities, recruitment of sponsored programs, booth staffing and lead management.

  • Support targeted KOLs relationships at key congress meetings and in the development of promotional resources such as administration case reports, medical education initiatives, congress activity, publications, etc.

  • Engage with external vendors, including all agency partners in assisting with materials development and production; manage respective budgets

  • Collaborate and liaise with iovera (medical device) marketing and commercial teams to ensure alignment and execution success between EXPAREL and iovera brands

  • Build strong collaborative relationships within the organization including Marketing, Sales, Learning & Development, Medical Education, Medical Affairs, Medical Sciences, Legal & Compliance, Clinical and Regulatory Affairs

Interaction:

Will work closely with employees in all other functional areas and directly with the commercial team.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Minimum 2-5 years' experience in Marketing

  • Will consider associate degree with additional relevant experience

  • Prior experience in hospital, pharma or med device preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated success in the development and execution of strategies to respond to unique or challenging market dynamics

  • Demonstrated ability to manage several projects simultaneously and prioritize projects effectively

  • Proven ability to maintain a strong attention to detail and quick recall and a track record of delivering projects on time and on budget

  • Strong written and oral English communications skills, strong presentation skills; proven ability to interact successfully with all levels of the organization as well as vendors and outside constituents

  • Ability to work independently; demonstrated self-starter; nimble and expansive thinker

  • Demonstrated ability to review, analyze and assess data including sales performance data and market trends

  • Demonstrated ability to leverage insights to identify and evaluate creative ideas, focusing on those that will create sustainable market advantage

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Experience with Veeva Vault, Ariba a plus

  • Ability to successfully work cross-functionally
