Notion is an in person company, and currently requires its employees to come to the office for two Anchor Days (Mondays & Thursdays) and requests that employees spend the majority of their week in the office (including a third day).

About the role

Notion's Creative Team is a group of strategists, designers, illustrators, filmmakers, writers, web engineers, and producers that deliver on all of Notion's brand and creative expressions. We're looking for a talented, strategic, and collaborative Brand Manager to steward Notion's brand, and partner with teams across Notion to guide growth and maintain highest standards of brand excellence.

What you'll achieve

As Brand Manager, you will be responsible for collaboratively shaping the vision for our brand and how our marketing campaigns, product launches, and other special projects contribute to driving global brand awareness. This role reports to the Head of Creative Strategy & Operations and will:

  • Ensure brand consistency and polish. Build out Notion's brand architecture and maintain brand guidelines so that cross-functional teams, external vendors, and users have standardized resources to leverage Notion's brand appropriately.

  • Set up Notion's brand for scale. Develop and uphold policies to protect Notion's brand assets, educate internal teams and the external community, and partner with a wide range of teams, including Design, Legal, Product, Community, Partnerships, and Product Marketing.

  • Evolve Notion's brand through creative activations. Synthesize research and data into creatively-inspiring insights to drive brand campaigns, product launches, experiential activations, and more.

  • Manage projects from kickoff to launch. Align cross-functional teams on goals and deliverables, manage stakeholder reviews, and partner with the Creative Operations team and external vendors to track production milestones to completion.

Skills you'll need to bring

  • 7+ years experience executing brand campaigns and activations at fast-growing software companies (or at creative agencies for software clients)

  • Proven track record of driving creative results: You have a deep understanding of culture and how it intersects with brands, resulting in high-quality campaigns that contribute to building a resonant brand

  • Self-starter: You are unfazed by ambiguous problem areas and thrive at running ambitious plans through to completion - even as requirements and priorities shift

  • Outstanding communication skills: You are able to articulate a vision, strategy, or idea clearly, and forge strong partnerships across diverse sets of stakeholders

  • Creative champion: You have both empathy and passion for being an essential part of the creative process and view the quality of the team's work as a direct reflection of your own

  • Skilled executor: You operate confidently at all altitudes within an organization, from scheduling executive reviews to ensuring contractors get paid on time

  • Highly analytical: You understand and value data, and know how to build insights, craft goals, and measure impact

  • Experience using Notion - bonus points for both personal and work use

  • Experience and passion for working alongside creative teams, with a sensibility for design and/or copy craft

Notion is committed to providing highly competitive cash compensation, equity, and benefits. The compensation offered for this role will be based on multiple factors such as location, the role's scope and complexity, and the candidate's experience and expertise, and may vary from the range provided below. For roles based in San Francisco, the estimated base salary range for this role is $150,000-$170,000
