Marketing manager is responsible for developing, implementing and executing strategic marketing plans for the organization in order to attract potential customers and retain existing ones.
Day-to-day tasks include managing and coordinating marketing and supporting staff, leading social media and public relations efforts across multiple lines of business, liaising with media organizations and advertising agencies.
Brainstorm and develop ideas for creative marketing campaigns
Assist in outbound or inbound marketing activities by demonstrating expertise in various areas (social media and public relations)
Liaise with social agency partners to develop and execute promotional events and campaigns
Plan and execute initiatives to reach the target audience through appropriate channels
Assist in analyzing marketing performance data (campaign results, conversion rates, traffic etc.) to help shape future marketing strategies
Lead/support development of social media strategy
Liaison to social agency partners for weekly meetings, dashboard configurations and platform updates
Lead/support public relations strategy and initiatives across key businesses
Oversees to ensure brand, campaign, and product messaging guidelines are being upheld across multiple touchpoints
Support Director and cross-functional teams in conducting market research to find answers about consumer requirements, habits and trends
Supports team with new product development and new business pitch initiatives
Intimate understanding of traditional and emerging marketing channels
Social Media + Public Relations
Excellent communication skills
Ability to think strategically, creatively and innovatively
Budget-management skills and proficiency
Professional judgment and discretion that comes from years of experience in the field
Analytical skills to forecast and identify trends and challenges
