The Global Brand Marketing team is on the hunt for a Brand Manager of Marketing Strategy to lead the platform team. One of the unique benefits of PayPal is that we have a global two-sided network across both consumer and merchant. The platform lead will be responsible for thinking about how we fuel the flywheel between consumer and merchants. As part of the Global Brand team, you will play a central role with the Product Marketing, Go-To-Market and Integrated Marketing teams to craft the PayPal story. We are looking for a true customer champion who can think about the narrative starting with the customer intent and support with our products and services.
You will be defining the value proposition by segments to drive a stronger connection with the brand and drive overall marketing excellence. What You'll Do at PayPal
Develop the customer narrative around how our platform products help to tell the brand story.
Building off the Global Brand Platform, define the value proposition for our segments to connect the two-sided PayPal brand.
Drive a more emotional connection with our brand and give the business a north star for ensuring we are behaving as a true customer champion.
Serve as the primary brand strategy liaison to Global Product Marketing, GTM and IMM teams and be the voice of the customer, through customer insights, competitive trends and a deep understanding of PayPal's products to the planning process.
Build strong partnerships with cross-functional teams that include Product, Regional Marketing, Research and Insights, Experience Design, Engineering, Sales and external partner teams to identify opportunities, ensure alignment and buy-in across organization.
Monitor category shifts and emerging markets trends and competitive intelligence to be the merchant expert and drive future growth.
Be accountable for meeting multiple tight deadlines, with ability to react to immediate company and project needs.
Apply great attention to detail with top-notch presentation, written and verbal communications skills.
Oversee budget development, management and tracking for all programs.
Manage vendor relationships, contracts and service providers.
Direct management of Marketing Coordinator to support regional marketing activities.

Experience Ideally, we're looking for someone with previous experience working in the tech industry, payments industry, highly regulated sectors or similar. Prior payments experience is a bonus but not a deal breaker. They should have at least 6 years in marketing related fields.
7-10+ years marketing experience.
Bachelor's degree required
Demonstrated ability to solve a range of challenges via strategic, analytical and creative problem solving.
B2B and B2C experience a plus
Tech experience preferred.
Has worked in a global team setting
Agency Planning experience a plus
