JOB SUMMARY

The brand manager is the business owner of the brand creating and evolving the brand vision, defining the brand strategy and overseeing the execution of all brand marketing activities in alignment with consumer needs and the corporate vision, mission, and strategy. This role is a cross functional leader and brand champion developing tools and selling stories to generate excitement with internal teams and external partners to launch new products and execute marketing activities.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Own the roadmap: Develop and evolve brand vision and strategies across all selling channels, relentlessly identify opportunities and risks, and recommend specific action plans that align with corporate strategy. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's in business, Marketing or Related Field. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be

  • 4-6 years of experience in brand management, marketing communications, or product development, preferably in consumer-packaged goods space with a track record of delivering business

  • Experience working with customers, agencies, and cross functional team

This position is eligible for our Domestic Relocation program.</p><p>What you'll do</p><p>Reporting to the Director, State and Community Relations, with a dotted line to the Director of Indigenous Relations, this position is responsible for implementing the new US IR engagement strategy and project engagement plans in accordance with the TC Energy's IR policy and standards, US permitting requirements to engage and consult with Native American Tribes through various Federal and State authorities, for all assets and projects across multiple States. The successful candidate will work to ensure internal buy-in of the IR strategy and work closely with Project Execution teams and Business Units to develop and implement engagement and consultation strategies.</p><p>Responsibilities</p><ul><li><p>Build and maintain relationship with Tribes (elected officials, community leaders and community members) across TC Energy's footprint.</p></li><li><p>Build support and internal alignment on US IR strategy. Provide corporate guidance in a rapidly evolving legal, regulatory and social context in order to deliver sustainable and responsible business results, including timely and effective project support while maintaining access to TC Energy's assets.</p></li><li><p>Working closely with Business Units and with the Government and Community relations teams, develop engagement strategies to secure necessary regulatory permits for operations and projects. Accountable for the completion of accurate regulatory filing of documentation for the areas of Indigenous Relations, in compliance with evolving Federal and State regulations.</p></li><li><p>Implement TC programs to build and maintain relationships and achieve regulatory certainty:</p></li><li><p>Project participation</p></li><li><p>Workforce opportunities - maximize hiring amongst impacted Tribes</p></li><li><p>Contracting: maximizing opportunities for local qualified, competitive businesses and individuals (see bullet below)</p></li><li><p>TC Energy's Community Legacy program: support Indigenous community-led initiatives focused on: safety, environment, education &amp; training and community interests</p></li><li><p>Formalize US Indigenous business engagement program working with SCM and project teams:</p></li><li><p>Oversee engagement with Tribal Nations and Tribal-affiliated businesses to discuss potential business opportunities and gather information regarding workforce capacity, training needs;</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with Supply Chain Management and Project Managers to identify sub-contracting opportunities through the Primes;</p></li><li><p>Advise/recommend strategic vendor award approach to inform best total value decisions and reduce overall project/operational risk</p></li><li><p>Responsible for negotiating, implementing and tracking agreements with Tribes as appropriate;</p></li><li><p>Lead, mentor and continue to develop a high performing team of experts across the United States to ensure the provision of timely, reliable and high-quality internal and external client service</p></li><li><p>Monitor engagement and commitments with community members and leaders, including Indigenous governments and nongovernmental organizations;</p></li><li><p>Provide guidance and direction to internal and outside legal counsel on Indigenous strategies and development related to agreements;</p></li><li><p>Monitor legislative and legal case developments in TC Energy's operating regions and modify approaches and programs appropriately.
