We are looking for a Brand Manager who will grow at our Vancouver, WA office.
The Hawthorne Gardening Co. is seeking an insightful brand marketer with demonstrated functional excellence in strategic thinking, marketing plan development, and execution. New product launches, annual strategic and operating plans, brand stewardship, special projects, and reporting out to functional leaders are just the beginning of the key responsibilities. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to drive strategic brand decisions, own tactical execution, and collaborate with internal and external partners to ultimately spur brand revenue and share growth.
In this role you will:
Support the development of marketing strategies, objectives, and initiatives as part of an annual brand planning process
Drive day-to-day execution of multichannel initiatives and ad hoc support projects--delivering on time, on brand, on budget, and meeting technical requirements
Document quantitative and qualitative post implementation results (PIR) for campaigns, launches and key projects. Share and socialize results cross functionally to inform future plans and upskill colleagues.
Proactively identify incremental revenue and share opportunities in alignment with business objectives
Co-create and support the development of brand positioning refinements for assigned brands with an eye towards multiple customer targets and the competitive set--achieving buy in from category managers along the way
Steer creative team partners and external support agencies in the development of packaging, digital, sales/retail collateral, web, social content, print, video, etc.--serving as the brand identity steward and shepherd from start to finish
Develop, manage and execute new product launch plans. Collaborate with Sales and Category Managers to develop precise, informed plans and communications that optimize budget spend. Report out to stakeholders on progress, opportunities and wins.
Oversee development of brand manuals and style guides, as needed
Manage multichannel budget and spending for assigned brands and projects. Partner with and inform finance ongoing.
Support Sales org ad hoc projects to achieve market-specific goals in the US and Canada
Expand knowledge base and challenge assumptions through creative problem solving, data analysis, trends research, and benchmarking. Suggest results-oriented action plans.
Contribute to the development of talent in the marketing function; support colleagues, share learning and "give back" to the group to elevate total team contributions to the business.
The perfect person will have:
MBA or equivalent/experience is required.
Minimum of 4 years classical brand management experience.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of ROI measurement
Ability to influence; proactively strengthens relationships across the business ongoing
Demonstrate strength in strategic thinking across B2B and B2C targets
Proficiency in managing multiple projects with conflicting timelines
High attention to detail
Articulate and fluid communication
