The Duckhorn Portfolio is North America's premier luxury wine company. We were established in 1976 by Dan and Margaret Duckhorn. The Brand Manager for Greenwing performs responsibilities such as brand planning, agency oversight, digital marketing, social media, public relations, event management, advertising, and packaging design for The Duckhorn Portfolio. The Brand Manager works with The Duckhorn Portfolio Marketing team and with cross-functional partners, including Sales, Analytics, Finance, Supply Chain, and Winemaking, to develop and implement plans to meet the company's long-term strategic objectives.
What we will ask you to do:
- Develop annual brand plans and recommendations by analyzing product, category, consumer, and market dynamics to ensure long term growth.
- Manage all aspects of the marketing mix, including product positioning, packaging, national POS development, promotion, pricing, event participation, and all trade and consumer communication.
- Create and maintain brand standards with clear brand positioning and execution guidelines.
- Ensure adherence across all channels and all consumer and trade touch points.
- Manage product portfolio mix, including development of new products, package design, and label vintage updates.
- Develop web, social, and digital media strategies aligned with overall brand plan and initiatives.
- Manage and oversee brand asset library (i.e., photos, videos).
- Work with Trade Marketing to develop suite of tools and programs for use in various sales channels.
- Monitors and advises on market conditions and trends to ensure wine availability in market.
- Provide brand health performance and competitive analysis reports as required on monthly and quarterly basis to identify drivers/drags to inform action plan for business
What you will need:
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 3-5 years hands-on wine marketing experience with a commercially successful luxury wine brand(s).
- Proven track record of success with brand planning, POS management, digital marketing, social media, advertising, PR, outside agency oversight, events development and management, package design, sales forecasting, and data analysis.
- Thorough understanding of the wine industry, including the three-tier distribution system, sales channel intricacies, competitive landscape, and market trends.
- Thorough understanding of luxury wine, viticulture, and wine production knowledge, as well as experience interacting with wine consumers and trade.
- Strong financial, business, accounting, math acumen, quantitative analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to accurately use a variety of data sources to analyze relevant business situations, drivers, and growth opportunities; and to establish facts, develop insights, and draw valid conclusions.
- Exceptional written and verbal skills, along with ability to confidently speak before groups of customers or employees.
- Versatile and flexible person who can easily shift gears between fast-paced, dynamic situations and more moderate paced situations, demonstrating patience and enthusiasm while retaining motivation and a strong sense of closure/completion.
- Results-oriented with a track record of success in accomplishing objectives on schedule and enjoy participating in projects to improve systems and procedures.
- Strong time-management, planning, and organizational skills.
- Committed team player, able to work cooperatively and effectively by valuing and respecting the contributions of team members.
- Advanced computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint; experience with AMS preferred.
- Able to travel as necessary and work a flexible schedule; travel estimated at 10%.
- Valid Driver's License and insurable MVR.
