Job Title: Brand Manager, Bratz
Location:9220 Winnetka Avenue, Chatsworth, CA 91311 *Must manage reasonable commuting distance to MGA Chatsworth HQ to support onsite business needs.
Requirements Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Business, Marketing, Communication, or related field of study + 2 years' experience as a Brand Manager or related marketing position. Experience is required and must include the following: Two years of executing brand strategy in kid/family marketing, adult fandom marketing, lifestyle brand marketing, toy experience, or quick turn fashion; Use of market research analysis tools to generate actionable insights that drive strategic decisions and market positioning for toy brands in US retail market; Use of retail math and analytical skills to effectively forecast inventory needs; Digital marketing with a focus on enhancing online engagement through social media campaigns and influencer partnerships.
Duties: The Brand Manager, Bratz role supports the Bratz Brand Franchise. Originally launched in 2001 as a line of fashion dolls, the brand has grown into a multi-billion-dollar global lifestyle franchise now targeting adults and encompassing licensed goods, content, gaming, and events. Position supports the implementation & execution of brand strategies designed to drive sales, consumer engagement, market share growth, franchise revenue growth, and profitability management. The role works closely with internal support centers of excellence (i.e., Packaging, Sales, International) for brand management and agency partners (i.e., Entertainment, Marketing Services, Retail Marketing, Licensing, Communications) to deliver against revenue goals and marketing activation to drive consumer demand. Specific duties are as follows: Conduct comprehensive market research and competitive data analysis to support the management of a portfolio of multiple brands at various lifecycle stages, including new launches, growth, sustain/innovate, and sunset. Lead the seasonal brand planning process, including slot planning, white space opportunity analysis, product wave planning, price point analysis, and NPD competitive data analysis. Analyze brand positioning, age targets, and key attributes to ensure alignment with market insights and execution across product, packaging, marketing communication, and retail strategies. Prepare accurate materials to support sell-in to retail buyers and sales partners for trade shows and seasonal showroom presentations. Develop compelling presentations with storytelling elements and present to both internal and external stakeholders as a brand authority. Implement strategic marketing triggers to enhance consumer demand, encompassing TV and digital advertising, social media campaigns across platforms like YouTube and Instagram, and oversee the creative and media planning processes under senior leadership guidance. Coordinate with senior leadership and creative partners to support and ensure marketing communication strategies are on-brand, strategically aligned, and delivered on time and within budget. Manage the digital marketing strategy, ensuring content approval, aligning with the activation calendar, and keeping abreast of industry trends. Oversee the execution of e-commerce strategies, including retailer ads, catalog updates, and concept mock-ups, ensuring high-quality content like A+ pages photos, videos, and copy. Collaborate with Sales and Retail Marketing teams to align key account activations with comprehensive 360-degree consumer brand plans, ensuring timely and on-brand execution. Lead the public relations strategy and oversee brand event activations, introducing innovative marketing approaches to maintain market relevance and drive brand newness. Conduct category-specific analysis, particularly in girl toy categories such as Collectibles, Plush, Fashion Dolls, and more, becoming the subject matter expert and leveraging Bratz's nostalgic legacy to achieve retail and e-commerce dominance. Utilize point-of-sale data to identify trends, performance indicators, potential issues, and develop solutions. Monitor brand financials, including inventory and forecasts, to inform marketing investment decisions and build financial quotas for new season development. Offer strategic decision-making solutions to mitigate risks and maximize returns on investments. Serve as the primary contact for all brand-related inquiries from cross-functional teams, guiding the development and execution of projects that drive consumer demand and ensure the Bratz brand remains authentic and well-positioned in the market. *Must manage reasonable commuting distance to MGA Chatsworth HQ to support onsite business needs.
Salary Range $99,632 - $100,000 per year
