The Opportunity

This position works out of our Pleasanton, CA (option for Livermore, CA) location in the Abbott Heart Failure, Acelis Connected Health business. Our Heart Failure solutions are helping address some of the World's greatest healthcare challenges.

As the Brand Manager, you'll have direct responsibility for part or all marketing activities including development, management, and execution of strategies and tactical programs to achieve business plan objectives, goals, and P&L commitments, as well as going business management including analysis, forecasting, and budget management. This position will be considered as a developmental role for individuals seeking more senior leadership positions in Abbott.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Lead all marketing activity associated with the VAD & INR businesses

  • Understand trends and market dynamics (government, industry, consumer, retail, consumer, competitive, adjacent categories)

  • Lead long (2-3yr) and short (annual) term strategic planning for the VAD & INR business lines, including analysis, recommendation, and presentation of proposed strategies to senior leadership

  • Lead Market Research to generate deep stakeholder insights and identify desired unmet needs

  • Partner with the Acelis Connect Health Technology team and IT to deliver best-in-class user experiences across our digital ecosystem

  • Develop and execute marketing campaigns and promotional materials

  • Identify and track key KPIs that measure business performance and goals

  • Partner with sales force to develop channel strategies and tactics

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve objectives, including but not limited to field sales force, technology, legal, regulatory, medical affairs, public affairs, executive management, creative department, vendors, and health care professionals.

Required Qualifications

  • BS/BA Marketing, Business or related discipline

  • 3-5 years of experience with progressive responsibility in brand management in health diagnostics marketing; consumer-packaged goods marketing; or a combination of the two.

  • Passion for healthcare, consumer, and technology

  • Strong thought leadership, written, and verbal communication skills with proven ability to interact directly with leadership to drive strategy and investment decisions

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams from idea to launch

  • Proven ability to develop and execute complex strategic business plans

  • Familiarity with primary and secondary market research and data analysis

  • Strong analytical / financial modeling skills

  • Experience and proficiency with P&L / budget management

  • Ability to travel approximately 20%

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA
  • 5-7 years of experience
  • HCP Advisory/KOL experience

  • Must be able to work at a computer workstation for extended periods of time

The base pay for this position is $109,300.00 - $218,500.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
