Job Summary

The Brand Ambassador is an internship-like, entry level position, responsible for the implementation of the Waitr product coordination in the specific marketing area, in which they function. Responsible for achieving and carrying out the development and defining the overall vision and strategy of Waitr's on-demand product. This position represents the Waitr brand to targeted customers in order to increase awareness, create a specific image, and build customer preference.

Creative solutions, driven mindset, with a get it done attitude. Relevant experience in consumer service marketing is helpful. Restaurant experience is helpful especially within the specific City Market. Stellar networking skills and the ability to make smart partnerships happen. Entrepreneurial DNA and fear tolerance.

Essential Functions

  • Elevates the Waitr brand in assigned market

  • Works closely with the Regional Manager to develop strategy and weekly priority tasks

  • Builds positive relationships with Waitr's restaurant partners through restaurant visits

  • Identifies the Waitr pitch and goals. Works with the Regional Manager and other Brand Ambassadors to achieve them.

  • Works with the Regional Manager on analyzing and deciding on local marketing efforts, such as sponsorships, events, etc.

  • Maintains consistent replenishment of marketing materials to our restaurant partners and assists with inventory management.

  • Serves as boots on the ground marketing in designated areas that the Regional Manager has developed.

  • Represents Waitr at company events, when necessary.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Preferably enrolled in a university/college program

  • Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Sales or related major preferred, but not required

  • Campus involvement (Greek life, athletics, clubs, associations. etc.)

  • Solid work history through part-time or seasonal work, internships, campus jobs, etc.

  • Fun, social, outgoing, driven, professional attitude and demeanor

  • Strong communication and time management skills, ability to work well both independently as well as on a team

  • Entrepreneurial DNA, high fear tolerance

  • Restaurant/hospitality or client facing work experience

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Reliable means of transportation, valid driver's license and state required insurance

  • Must live within 15-20 miles of the assigned market
