About the Company: MariMed, Inc. is a publicly traded cannabis company that operates cultivation, processing, retail, and a portfolio of branded products across multiple states. National consumer brands include Nature's Heritage, Kalm Fusion, and Betty's Eddies, with more forthcoming.
Location: Multiple Locations in IL., specifically greater Chicago metropolitan area (Required Territory Coverage) The successful candidate will be based within this geographic area
Reporting to: Associate Director of Trade and Field Marketing
Marimed Inc. is seeking an outgoing, entrepreneurial, and charismatic Brand Ambassador to create and execute tailor-made sales and marketing plans to engage customers. Our Brand Ambassadors are our boots on the ground. As the face of our brands, you will promote and educate customers about all Marimed's brands in stores and at various events in the field. You will build relationships with key strategic partners, manage store territories, collect customer data, provide sampling and product demonstrations, engage budtenders, and help sell through product. In this role, you will largely be responsible for encouraging the growth of brand awareness.
Description:
This position will require frequent travel. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following.
Responsible for driving brand awareness through on-site, face-to-face interaction with consumers.
Represent all MariMed brands with enthusiasm and professionalism
Engage with customers in-person in friendly and informed manner
Schedule and conduct in-store pop ups and other industry events through best-in-class implementation of marketing activations
Create unique customer experiences to increase brand awareness and build customer loyalty
Communicate facts regarding proper dosing, nutrition, and key functions and benefits of the cannabis products
Lead execution of non-infused samples program within your territory
Educate account budtenders on all MariMed products
Track all activity and consumer insights/feedback though digital recaps
Communicate and build out in store displays as directed by the Trade Marketing Manager
Build and maintain positive relationships with industry and dispensary contacts
Be the eyes and ears of MariMed from the field, reporting observations regarding retail accounts as well as competitor activity
Activate retail accounts through marketing and sales initiatives, events, and merchandising product displays.
Lead and assist in managing a team of Brand Ambassadors across multiple states, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure their success.
Develop and implement comprehensive brand ambassador strategies and programs to increase brand visibility, drive sales, and foster customer loyalty.
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop engaging and educational brand ambassador training materials, ensuring consistent messaging and product knowledge.
Conduct regular training sessions and workshops for brand ambassadors to enhance their product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service skills.
Coordinate and oversee brand ambassador activities, including in-store events, product demonstrations, and educational sessions at dispensaries and other relevant industry events.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, and industry influencers, to maximize brand exposure and drive sales.
Monitor and analyze brand ambassador performance, providing regular feedback, coaching, and performance evaluations to ensure continuous improvement.
Collaborate with the marketing team to gather customer insights, market trends, and competitor analysis to inform brand ambassador strategies and initiatives.
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences, networking with industry professionals and staying up to date with the latest trends and developments.
Collaborate with cross functional teams, including marketing, sales, and product development to align brand ambassador activities with overall business objectives.
Primary work location will be Chicagoland but travel across the state will be required varying durations of stay.
Requirements:
2+ years' experience in marketing, sales, events, or customer service as related to the industry
1+ year experience as industry specific Brand Ambassador
Must be 21 or older
Valid driver's license, clean driving record
High school diploma or GED
Must have reliable vehicle with sufficient space to transport event supplies
Punctuality, exceptional time management skills
Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Ability to travel independently
Ability to lift heavy items up to 50 pounds
Passion for the cannabis industry
Strong visual, written and verbal communication skills
Is self-motivated and a self-starter, but takes direction well and is a team player
Perform other duties as directed by the Associate Director of Trade & Field Marketing

Pay: From $48,000.00 per year
