About the Position

Our Client in the financial sector and 2020 Companies have partnered to hire experienced full-time Brand Ambassadors for a field based team providing welcome services to new merchants.

Day-in-the-Life as a Brand Ambassador

  • Meet, welcome and onboard new merchants accepting our Client's credit services

  • Travel within assigned territory visiting approximately 20 retailers per day

  • Demonstrate the value to the merchant of customers using the Client's line of credit services at their business

  • Capture and address any objections raised by reluctant merchants

  • Attempt to place Point of Purchase signage at each business

Duties and Responsibilities

Job Description:

  • Partner with the client to train and advocate client products at the retailer

  • Drive merchant awareness within your assigned territory

  • Maintain professional interaction with both merchants and fellow employees

  • Attempt to place point of purchase signage on exterior and/or interior of business

  • Advise merchants by providing information on products

  • Audit and record competitive products, promotions, merchandising, displays and merchant feedback

  • Travel to major markets and events for iconic launches to promote products

  • Contribute to team effort by assisting in launch-related activities, as needed

  • Responsible for accurately tracking and communicating all activity to Retail Operations

  • Ensure feedback reporting is submitted in timely manner

Performance Measurements:

  • Meet or exceed quarterly visit goals

  • Meet or exceed weekly in store time goals

  • Visit multiple store locations on a daily and weekly basis

  • Effectively schedule store visits two weeks or more in advance

  • Effectively execute assigned activities inside each location during all visits

  • Effectively demonstrate an ability to establish and influence business relationships through merchant awareness, POP placement and consistent productivity

  • Record and maintain appropriate documentation for each visit


  • High school diploma or equivalent experience required

  • Six (6) months prior sales, promotion, retail, or marketing experience

  • Demonstrated knowledge of products and services

  • Excellent communications, presentation, interpersonal and problem-solving skills

  • Impeccable integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 15 lbs. at a time

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, team environment

  • Ability to maintain customer confidentiality

  • Reliable transportation within assigned territory

You'll wear many hats while working in a fast-paced retail setting conducting classes, private coaching sessions, community outreach, and retail operations (e.g., customer service, stocking shelves, cleaning, etc.). As the store's nutrition professional, you will act as an educational resource providing science-based nutrition education/training to the store Crew, our customers, and the community. This position is a front-line contributor to the Natural Grocers mission and plays an integral role helping Natural Grocers improve the health and wellbeing of our communities. Through providing free nutrition education and helping people understand why their food choices matter, you will play an important role in Natural Grocers commitment creating a sustainable, Just, regenerative food system where humans, animals, and the earth can thrive. Responsibilities Main Ingredients: Acts as the nutrition education resource for the customers, Crew, and community. Provides customer service on the floor in the vitamin aisles (assists customers with product purchasing, provides education resource, etc.) Performs retail Operations Maintain Customer Literature Files Maintain Book Department Stock and Face Product Assists with cleaning the Vitamin Department and store Assists with merchandising product Provides Nutrition Education Offers instore nutrition and recipe demonstration classes Offers outreach nutrition classes Provides regular trainings to Crew Maintains the Crew Wellness Board Motivates and provides encouragement for Crew to participate in Employee Nutrition Challenges Respond to questions and review summaries Provides private individual one-on-one health coaching sessions Works to build community relationships (practitioner partners for referrals, Guest presenters, event partners, etc.) Seeks outreach opportunities (to provide nutrition education and build brand awareness) Maintains Continued Education requirements Reads and reviews research Completes CE assignments Assists management with coordinating, organizing, and executing companywide events Responsible for printing materials used in classes, outreach, and coaching sessions Responsible for placing orders for nutrition education supplies Provides training to Crew on promoting the NHC services, instore events, and promotions Attends monthly meetings (NHC webinar, Regional and Sales Building calls) Acts as an event ambassador for instore guest presenter classes during floor days Although this is a general outline of job responsibilities all employees are expected to be "hands on" and do whatever it takes to get the job done and make the company thrive.
