Job Title: Brand Activation Manager — Salt Point Cocktails (Gallo) / Ayatana XP  

Reports To: AXP Project Manager, Gallo Sales Manager  ABOUT AYATANA XP: Ayatana XP strategically executes retail sampling demos for your favorite brands on a national scale every single day. Our diverse team of brand ambassadors help build brand awareness for buzzy celebrity brands, challenger brands just making a splash on the scene and even convince the loyalists of consumers to shake it up and try something new.

SUMMARY: We are seeking a dynamic individual to spearhead the ambassador and activation program for our super-premium canned cocktail brand in California. The ideal candidate will be passionate about building brand recognition within the culinary scene, focusing on strategic placements and activations at local "foodie" events along the California coast. This role will be split between marketing initiatives (70%) and sales efforts (30%), with a primary focus on driving consumer engagement and sales in both Northern and Southern California. 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:  

1. Brand Education and General Responsibilities 

Key Accountabilities: 

• Supports Gallo sales teams with selling signed brands to distributors. 

• Participates in "crew dives" to increase product knowledge among retailers and consumers. 

• Presents brand information and sales initiatives to distributor leadership. 

• Maintains satisfactory attendance and complies with regulatory considerations. 

• Ensures understanding and compliance of team members with applicable regulations. 

• Adapts to assigned tasks as needed to support brand objectives. 

Marketing (70%)

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS 

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field preferred. 

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in brand ambassadorship, event management, or sales roles within the beverage industry. 

• Strong understanding of the California culinary and beverage landscape. 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. 

• Proven track record of executing successful marketing and sales initiatives. 

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 

• Knowledge of relevant beverage consumption laws and regulations. 

• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as needed. 

• Strong written, verbal, and public speaking skills. 

• Strong budget management skills. 

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Web-based reporting tools  

• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed during peak activation periods. 

• Must own or have reliable access to a personal vehicle through ownership or lease agreement AND have current auto insurance coverage that meets state minimum requirements. 

• Valid driver’s license with a driving record in good standing. Maintaining a good driving record (as defined by the organization) is a condition of employment. 

• Position contingent upon successful completion of background check.

COMPENSATION: Competitive 1099 compensation commensurate with experience.
