Role Summary:

Under the general supervision of the AVP of Digital Product Management, the Branch Technology Product Owner 1 is responsible for the technical life cycle of ITM and ATMs, Cash Recyclers, Bill and Coin Counters, and other digital products they have been assigned. This includes the development efforts, configuration changes, support, maintenance, and administrative responsibilities such as documenting technical requirements, product road maps, reviewing vendor contracts, and budgeting associated with the product. The Branch Technology Product Owner 1 will collaborate with internal business stakeholders and vendors regularly to deliver new products and enhance existing products that meet the needs of our business stakeholders. The Branch Technology Product Owner 1 will represent business needs and priorities of the credit union to the vendor, manage the product backlog, and incorporate feedback from business stakeholders to guide continuous product improvement.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Understand business and end-user needs; and can identify and prioritize features to be delivered to meet those needs.

  • Direct and oversees the lifecycle of products and applications, including prioritizing all work efforts associated with products.

  • Have a basic understanding the system architecture of the product they are responsible for, to include the server infrastructure, network, and data they rely on

  • Identify product strengths and weaknesses and works with all parts of the organization to implement and configure the product where needed.

  • Assist with the review of and negotiation of contracts alongside AVP of Digital Products and Development and the business stakeholder.

  • Collaborate with business units when in the process of discovery for new vendors and or products.

  • Assist with the development of near and long-term product roadmaps.

  • Set expectations with business stakeholders for delivery of new capabilities, features, and functionalities.

  • Work with business and technical stakeholders to develop and document user stories.

  • Collect and understand the technical requirements for new product implementations and enhancements.

  • Provides application support when escalation to a subject matter expert is required.

  • Identify defects and sees them through to resolution as needed.

  • Ensure that their respective product is compliant with regulatory requirements, secure, and disaster resilient.

  • Ensure upgrades are planned and completed, maintaining compliance with standards and control procedures.

  • Prioritize and maintain the product backlog.

  • Analyze end user feedback and operational metrics, to identify and understand product needs.

  • Work with the development team to create acceptance criteria and definitions of failures.

  • Assist the team on the development of feature tests, test cases, and regression tests.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

What You Will Need:

  • Minimum of one year of product ownership/management experience

  • Minimum of three years of Branch Technology product knowledge

  • Minimum of one year of vendor management experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field (or an additional four years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree)

  • Ability to understand complex business problems and identify and interpret business needs.

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information in a condensed manner to various stakeholders verbally and in writing.

  • Demonstrated facilitation and influencing skills to drive decision making among stakeholders with diverse perspectives and priorities.

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Works effectively independently, as well as collaboratively.

  • Adapts to and manages change with ease.

  • Financial Services experience

  • Has a desire to continuously develop their professional skills and knowledge.

  • knowledge of agile development methodologies and planning tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello, and Confluence) preferred.

Salary Range:

$74,679.01-$112,018.51
