The Branch Support Specialist will serve as support for our five (5) Central Florida Branch locations by providing professional, quality customer service on the teller line, the platform and with deposit operations services. The Branch Support Specialist will conduct transactions in accordance with Bank policies and procedures and in compliance with federal and state regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Provide teller support for branches to ensure adequate coverage.

  • Perform teller transactions, balance the ATM and answer phones.

  • Support platform activities and open new accounts in branches when needed.

  • Perform a variety of customer service transactions, such as opening new accounts, account holds, stop-payment orders, check and debit card orders and wire transfers.

  • Responsible for cross selling other Bank products and services, that meet the customer's needs.

  • Complete customer service tasks such as: wire transfers, debit card creation, problem resolution, order checks, etc.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Rotate from branch to branch to ensure adequate coverage on the teller line and/or the platform, as needed.

  • Identify customer needs for deposit products, consumer and mortgage loans, IRAs, certificates of deposit and safe deposit boxes.

  • Maintain knowledge of policies and procedures with respect to approving checks and overrides.

  • Process, balance and transmit all proof work through branch capture system.

  • Ensure all accounts are properly documented by completing BSA, Risk Assessment, and New Account Checklists.

  • Ensure all teller stations are organized and adequately stocked and ready for subsequent shifts at changeover or closing.

  • Perform security functions as required. Understand and follow procedures in case of robbery or another emergency.

  • Balance various general ledger accounts.

  • Answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate employees.

  • Process requests for incoming and outgoing foreign currency.

  • Process incoming and outgoing collection items, as applicable.

  • Comply with all regulations pertaining to BSA, USA PATRIOT ACT, AND OFAC requirements.

  • Complete annual BSA training. Report suspicious activity, or any attempt to avoid BSA reporting requirements on the part of customers or employees, to the Compliance Department.

  • Maintain privacy and security of customer information.

  • Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum two years' teller or banking experience required, including formal teller, platform and new accounts training

  • Good customer services and communication skills

  • Good interpersonal communication and computer skills

  • Good attention to detail

  • Educated in banking regulations and laws

Computer and Office Equipment Skills

  • Spreadsheet software (Microsoft Excel)
  • Word processing software (Microsoft Word)
  • Other Microsoft Office applications (Outlook)
  • Copier/Scanner

Salary Description

$22.00 - $26.00 per hour
