PSECU, a high-tech progressive financial institution with more than $5 billion in assets, is seeking a Branch Service Advisor to assist members face to face with all aspects of transactions occurring in the Branch and Financial Centers to include complex member issues. The individual must be able to multi-task, problem solve and have sound decision making skills. This individual must be able to interact in a professional and friendly manner with our members. A strong knowledge of the core processing system, MS Excel, MS Word and MS Outlook are essential.

Starting Salary: $16.30/hour

Requirements DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Performs all teller functions associated with position and location to include, but not limited to, cash deposits, withdrawals, bond redemption, member letters, producing statement/check copies for members, completion of Currency Transaction Reports, account analysis, detecting and reporting any and all unusual account activity or transactions to management or LP&S, review of applications and forms submitted by members for processing, name and address changes, verification process, check reorders, SST and member to member transfers, assist members with completion of payroll deduction, direct deposit and IRA forms and paperwork, cross sell PSECU products and services, assist applicants in opening new accounts in accordance with PSECU policy and is responsible for disbursing temporary checks and ATM cards, etc.
Understands and follows all PSECU's policies and procedures; particularly as they relate to branch operations and security. Must be able to successfully complete security training.
Balances assigned cash drawer to system totals per balancing procedures. Assists other Branch Service Advisors when out of balance situations occur.
Processes Guaranteed Signatures and Signature Validations according to procedures.
Prints temporary checks.
Verifies funds availability on large checks for deposit. Places account notes and share holds on funds.
Maintains and distributes items from file containing check pick-ups, statement pick-ups and any other items for member pick-up. Address any outstanding items not picked up by member in a timely manner.
Issues indemnity agreements to members and third parties when needed.
Documents voided check items on the cashier check disbursement/discrepancies and control list and forwards to the Accounting department daily.
Notifies LP&S of possible OFAC matches. Reports suspicious activity to Branch Manager, Lead Branch Manager or other management personnel.
Promptly answers all incoming telephone calls to branch and transfers callers to appropriate areas.
Assists with the branch balancing as needed.
Must be familiar with credit union products, policies and procedures and be able to accurately and effectively cross-serve these products to new and existing members in a positive and assertive manner.
Performs duties as outlined on unit checklists as needed to include Branch opening and closing functions.
Supports PSECU policies and procedures and supports management decisions. Follows established chain of command.
Informs the Branch Manager or Lead Branch Manager of member issues or concerns pertaining to the branch operations.
Must be flexible and available to work mandatory overtime.
Must attend mandatory branch meetings and required training.
Must be available to work at, PSECU locations, within a reasonable driving distance, as may be deemed necessary by management.
Must have the ability to work under pressure, act independently and ensure that assigned tasks are completed in a timely fashion. The need to manage time and priorities is essential.
Must provide member service and display professionalism at all times to include but not limited to keeping work area organized and adhering to the branch dress code and workstation guidelines.
Provides training to new Branch Service Advisors.
Identifies and updates procedures for this position for manager review.
Keeps daily statistics and other spreadsheets updated.
Ensure proper robbery and security response procedures are followed as needed.
Ensure proper evacuation procedures are followed as needed.
Assist with release testing as it relates to branch operations.
Adhere to break and lunch schedules as assigned.
Must be knowledgeable in the operations of the Transaction Services Department.
