Provides support to the Branch Manager to ensure the effective operation of all functional areas of the branch.
Ensure facility is maintained in an attractive, safe, and efficient manner.
Responsible for front desk reception area and the supervision of branch coordinators and other nonexempt employees.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. These responsibilities include interviewing, recommending for hire, and training of employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and problems.
Monitors staffing levels, expenditures, asset equipment utilization and inventory levels to ensure maximum profit margins.
Perform a number of processing duties for the Branch as necessary including, but not limited to working with intakes, reviewing ACIS screens to assist customers with billing issues, confirming deliveries; and responding to customer inquiries to resolve complaints.
Assist with Billing Center requests for audit/documentation purposes and work with Sales team for completing documentation requirements on behalf of patients including Hand Carry (HC) suspended referrals.
Creates an environment of excellence in serving customers.
Ensures operational efficiency is optimized by conducting audits to identify deficiencies; and develops procedures to correct deficiencies.
Ensures operational procedures comply with federal, state, local and Joint Commissions regulations.
May assist in implementing new policies and programs.
May assist in coordinating the local sales function and initiatives.
May assist sales when necessary to maintain contact with major accounts within area.
Performs other related duties as directed by supervisor.
Minimum Required Qualifications
Education or experience equivalent to a four year college degree is required.
At least three years related experience is required.
Valid driver's license.
Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, and computer skills.
Successful completion of Apria Healthcare's Customer Service Certification program.
The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and sit, as well as talk and hear.
Talking and hearing are regular requirements.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
The employee is regularly required to use hands to write, use a computer and manipulate documents.
