Spartan Industrial & Marine, a Singer Industrial Company, is looking for a strong leader to be our new Branch Manager at our Belle Chasse, LA location. This role requires experience with hydraulic, industrial, and metal hose products, experience managing a high-volume location, and the ability to partner with our distribution and service teams.

Singer Industrial is one of America's largest Industrial Distributors with a North American footprint of approximately 90 locations with over 1,200 employees. We do this with a robust line of fluid power, hose & fittings, belts, seals & gaskets, pneumatic and automation products, and services.

The Branch Operations Manager will lead and work with individuals on our Distribution and Service team. This person must reflect and promote our mission statement and corporate values. They will ensure quality practices are maintained and improve productivity and efficiencies where applicable. They will collaborate with the corporate office to maintain proper inventory levels, ensure accounting details are communicated, and maintain a safe and positive work environment.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day business operations.

  • Collaborate with sales to meet corporate objectives and customer service expectations.

  • Analyze processes, make recommendations for improvements, and eliminate waste.

  • Responsible for performance evaluations and future development of team members.

  • Partner with the recruiting to maintain proper staffing levels.

  • Communicate with senior management for branch level needs on equipment, manpower and inventory.

  • Coordinate with corporate to ensure the proper inventory levels and maintenance required for the branch.

  • Ensure inventory cycle counting is maintained at an acceptable accuracy level.

  • Operate as a working manager performing all job duties as required.

  • Manage and review locations' timecard requirements through ADP.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong Computer Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in business, or other equivalent experience.

  • Experience with hose, rubber and/or fluid power distribution is required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
