Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Generate sales by making outbound telephone calls to current and potential customers to drive revenue through the location; also fields incoming telephone calls as well. Makes on-site visits to customer's place of business when possible and as necessary.
Lead and own the area of responsibility (AOR). Responsible for planning and executing sales to meet pre-determined growth goals. Additionally, actively developing lists of will-fit parts demand for the AOR to increase parts sales and market share.
Ensures that their location and its employees observe and comply with all company rules and regulations, especially those in regard to safety; it is also expected they do the same in regards to all state and federal laws.
Builds strong business relationships with our network of core customers and ensures that all customer's needs and concerns are addressed satisfactorily and in a timely fashion.
Provides general and technical information about products and services to current and potential customers.
Takes product and service order information and determines charges based on a pre-determined pricing and discount structure.
Maintains an open, honest and respectful relationship with his/her team of direct reports; they must lead by example, share knowledge openly and work to achieve what is best for the team as a whole.
Ensures that 5-S is practiced within their facility; all common tools will be returned to their defined place when not in use and the work area must be cleaned and free from debris once the daily work has been completed. If a tool, part, etc. does not have a defined space to be stored, the Branch Manager must meet with the team to establish one.
The Branch Manager leads his/her facility in the pursuit of continuous improvement, always looking for and encouraging others to look for improvement opportunities in their assigned tasks as well as the plant as a whole.
Manage inventory levels at the location, ensuring that materials to compete orders are on hand, sending replenishment orders to main manufacturing location.
P&L management for the location, responsibility for measuring performance to annual budget.
Ensures that our installations and repairs are done at the highest quality standards
Develop and maintain positive relationships with key customers, including negotiating and closing on major contracts for both service and sales. Focus on building sales and forecasting future performance
Remain accountable for and manage all profit and loss figures. Responsible for measuring and reporting performance as well as budgeting to achieve financial goals.
Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required
Must be able to maintain accurate records and perform basic mathematical operations.
Must be able to operate a personal or laptop computer, with emphasis on accurate 10-Key numeric typing.
Must be mechanically inclined.
Must have excellent written and oral communications skills.
Must be able to multi-task and function effectively in varied work environments.
Must be able to speak, write and read English fluently;
Proven and verifiable ability to build teams and achieve goals by leading and motivating others required.
Performs other duties as directed by the General Manager
Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, General Business
Associates degree with 5+ years relevant working experience
5+ Years experience in Sales, (Parts Sales preferred)
5+ Years experience in manufacturing, fabrication, assembly shop environment
5+ Years experience in leading a team
Parts and aftermarket experience preferred
